Willow Fire 75% Contained as Crews Tackle New Blazes in North Warner Mountains

The Willow Fire is currently holding at 25 acres and is 75% contained. Retardant lines and handlines are in place; however, due to the location and terrain, there is a possibility of burning debris rolling out across the containment lines. Fire personnel are actively working to strengthen these containment lines and will remain on scene overnight.
The Pine Fire is fully surrounded with hoses and handlines, and it has burned less than one acre.

The U.S. Forest Service-Modoc National Forest Fire resources are actively working to contain 3 new fire starts in the North Warner Mountains that were reported earlier today. The largest of the 3 is the Willow fire that is holding at 20 acres and visible from Cedarville, Lake City and Ft Bidwell. Multiple federal and state resources including aircraft are on scene and working on containment.
