The “Beast Incarnate,” Brock Lesnar, has been noticeably missing from WWE television, and it appears that his comeback may be farther off than we initially believed. Some fans have demanded that The Conqueror return, but legal troubles keep him out of action. He has been named in the Janel Grant lawsuit hence, it looks like those troubles are not going to be over soon. So what is this lawsuit about and why is it preventing Lesnar from returning to wrestling? Where do Brock Lesnar’s problems stem from?
Brock Lesnar was named recently in the ghastly Janel Grant lawsuit
Brock Lesnar’s problems stem from a lawsuit filed in January 2024 by a former WWE corporate employee named Janel Grant. She accused former CEO, Vince McMahon of trafficking her for sexual purposes.

In the federal lawsuit she filed in January 2024 against the corporation and former president Vince McMahon, she formally named Brock Lesnar.
Grant named Lesnar as a person she says McMahon offered her sex in 2021 in an amended complaint she filed in U.S. District Court on Friday. Lesnar’s name was not included in the initial allegation, which referred to a well-known wrestler in the charge. The lawsuit does not name Lesnar as a defendant.
Grant, who was employed in the company’s talent and legal divisions, has claimed that McMahon coerced her into having sex with him to retain her position. She claims that in July 2021, when McMahon was trying to keep Lesnar under contract with the WWE, he ordered that she produce “personalized sexual content” for Lesnar. She further claims that in 2021, McMahon flew Lesnar to Connecticut for a sex session that never materialized.
Additionally, according to the updated complaint, McMahon allegedly made Grant produce “customized pornographic content” for veteran producer Michael Hayes.
The claims have been refuted by McMahon, who resigned as CEO of the WWE in 2022 due to probes similar to those in the complaint. Regarding the updated complaint, Lesnar and Hayes have refrained from making any public remarks.
His lawyer released a statement later in which McMahon referred to the new case as a “publicity stunt.” In a statement, McMahon’s lawyer Jessica Rosenberg stated:
“As anticipated, the proposed amended complaint is nothing more than the latest publicity stunt in an ongoing smear campaign. It is filled with desperate falsehoods from a team that continues to disregard the law and the truth.”
Federal prosecutors have already closed their criminal investigation into whether former World Wrestling Entertainment CEO and chairman Vince McMahon tried to cover up allegations of sexual misconduct with various former employees. Brock Lesnar was not part of this investigation.
Brock Lesnar is wishy-washy about his return
Although Brock Lesnar has only been seen in public a few times, some fans made predictions about Lesnar’s return. They predicted he would return during the Royal Rumble or at the Raw Netflix debut. Lesnar has not yet appeared in any WWE programming, and aside from the Showcase mode in WWE 2K24, he has largely been removed from the WWE 2K video games.

An article on a recent interaction with Lesnar was published by Ringside News. His “cryptic” comment was shared by the publication.
Lesnar was asked when he would return to WWE by a Ringside News correspondent who had seen him at a steakhouse in Austin, Texas. In response, Lesnar said, “We’ll see.”
The situation still appears to be complicated, and Lesnar’s response was not conclusive. In 2023, Lesnar made his final WWE appearance at SummerSlam. There would be issues with Lesnar’s comeback, even though it would bring another well-known figure back to the WWE.
