Deputy Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Justice Srem-Sai, has justified the raid on the residence of former Bank of Ghana Governor, Dr. Ernest Addison, stating that it was conducted in accordance with the law.
“Every search that you see is part of the government’s framework to fight corruption, and we take responsibility for the searches that are happening,” he explained.
He emphasized that due process was followed. “We want to make it clear that those searches and the mode in which they were done were in accordance with the law. Warrants were procured, and warrants were used to conduct those searches.”
His comments come in response to growing concerns over the government’s approach to investigating alleged financial misconduct.
