PRESIDENT Donald Trump has awarded a contract worth billions to aircraft company Boeing – and he gave himself a nod with the name.
Trump met with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in the Oval Office Friday to announce the business move.
Speaking to reporters, Trump said he was allocating money to complete a sixth-generation fighter jet titled F-47.
After sharing the title, the described it as a “beautiful name.”
“The name of this program is the next generation of air dominance,” said Hegseth.
“Now we have the F-47, which sends a very direct clear message to our allies that we aren’t going anywhere.”
