Betway Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns have captured the imagination of Kaizer Chiefs fans this week.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the club known as Kabo Yellow confirmed part ways with two former Kaizer Chiefs targets, Sipho Mbule and Rivaldo Coetzee.
According to the latest reports, a third former target of Amakhosi is facing an uncertain future with Sundowns.

According to this new report, Maboe is facing an uncertain future with Sundowns, who are set to travel to the FIFA Club World Cup without him.
The former Kaizer Chiefs development star spent the second round of last season on loan at SuperSport United. At Matsatsantsa, Maboe played 15 times, wherein he scored once and made one assist.
“After spending the last four months on loan, a Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder faces a tough few weeks regarding what happens next in his career,” Soccer Laduma reported.

“Sundowns are heading to the FIFA Club World Cup in the next few days and Soccer Laduma understands that players who were out on loan will not be travelling with the team for the competition. One player who was away for the second part of the season is midfielder Lebohang Maboe, who spent some time at SuperSport United. While he was able to get game time with Matsatsantsa, there are no guarantees over his future at Sundowns, especially after the arrival of Jayden Adams in midfield earlier this year.

“Maboe still has a contract with Sundowns and a decision on what happens next in his career is likely to be made during or after the Club World Cup,” the report added.
