This One Small Tweak Would Make Elden Ring Nightreign’s Worst World Boss Finally Worth Fighting

It’s fair to say that Elden Ring Nightreign is essentially a mix of both Elden Ring and Dark Souls. We have tons of bosses from the base title, the successful Shadows of the Erdtree DLC, and Dark Souls.

There are about a hundred unique bosses in Nightreign, each bringing their own level of brutal challenge. However, there’s one boss in the co-op experience that everyone absolutely despises. Fortunately, FromSoftware can make him finally worth fighting with one simple tweak.

This frustrating Nightreign boss just needs one simple fix

The Bell Bearing Hunter is one of the first night bosses you’ll come across in Nightreign. There’s nothing flashy about this character; he looks like your average Sous-like boss. However, his attacks have a level of reach that will make you go insane. That’s not all; his overall damage is quite high, and he can wreak havoc upon his enemies in a matter of seconds.

At this point, we’re quite used to seeing mind-boggling bosses in FromSoftware games. However, the Bell Bearing Hunter is truly something different as he’s unusually powerful for a boss who is encountered on the very first night in the Nightreign. This is a time when players are at their worst and don’t have the tools in their arsenal to fend off the boss.

More often than not, committing to a battle with Bell Bearing Hunter is simply a waste of time. You’ll end up losing your runes, spend hours trying to win, and eventually retreat in defeat. What’s worse is that if by some miracle you manage to defeat him, the rewards just don’t justify the effort and the struggle it takes to beat him.

What FromSoftware needs to do is improve the rewards to justify the difficulty Bell Bearing Hunter brings to the table. If he’s meant to be so punishing, then all of his drops should be valuable enough to make the fight feel worthwhile. He should be one of those bosses that makes players pray to whatever entity they wish to after encountering, but can’t run away from due to the loot drop being too valuable.

As of now, Bell Bearing Hunter is just another avoidable boss in Nightreign who doesn’t drop any valuable rewards. It’s high time for FromSoftware to bring changes that motivate players to fight him and not feel discouraged.

FromSoftware must also bring this feature to Nightreign

It’s not just the fact that several bosses, such as Bell Hearing Hunter in Nightreign, need improvements when it comes to loot drops. The game is also missing some quality-of-life features, and one of those is the message function to improve communication.

We’ve seen hundreds of mock-ups for this particular idea on various social media channels. The feature can include a menu that offers preset messages such as “Need Help!”, “Follow Me!” and “Hello”.

These quick prompts allow players to issue commands and coordinate with each other. They’re a staple in most of the co-op and FPS games out there. However, for some reason, FromSoftware has chosen to ignore this feature. It’s seriously a massive oversight by the developer.

With that said, how do you think FromSoftware can improve the Bell Hearing Hunter in Elden Ring Nightreign? Let us know in the comments below.
