This is Gross! Triple H Will Never Allow What Jon Moxley Just Did in AEW With Spiked Bat

The professional wrestling scene has been a unique blend of emotionally gripping storylines, neatly sewn together with high-octane action, athleticism, and a dash of disbelief. Triple H’s WWE has been doing the same, where sometimes he decides to take things up a notch with the inclusion of blood.

This decision has always been a divisive one, where some believe that it enhances realism and brings out the true combative nature of the sport. However, some feel this incorporation has risks and serious consequences. Though it can’t be justified, it seems Jon Moxley has developed a serious liking to color himself in his own blood in almost all of his matches.

Something similar was witnessed at AEW Dynamite, where he decided not to blade himself. Instead, he used a spiked bat to make the main event more dramatic.

Jon Moxley and Bloodshed: A better love story than Twilight

Before making a name for himself as Jon Moxley, he made quite a name for himself in the PG Era of WWE as Dean Ambrose. However, he decided to jump ship to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and become a bloodthirsty brawler, where he was not restricted by the PG guidelines, where he could embrace a more extreme style of wrestling.

Even during an exclusive interview with Sports Illustrated, Moxley defended himself, saying,

For me, realism-wise, since this is a combat sport, that means there is the potential for blood in every match. Everything in wrestling is preposterous to some degree, but this helps with the suspension of disbelief.

This element of disbelief was evident in a Street Fight in AEW’s exclusive pay-per-view Dynamite 2025, where he faced Cope to defend his AEW World Championship. The match was tantalizing as the fans witnessed the two former WWE greats square off in the rematch. They kicked off their fight in the production arena, where Cope ambushed the Champion.

Once both stars made it to the arena, the match officially kicked off, only to get more extreme with the involvement of weapons. From kendo sticks to steel chairs, both stars efficiently used every item in their display. After landing a series of clotheslines to the Champion, Cope grabs a spiked bat from under the ring, only to get countered.

Moxley grabbed and set up a table in the corner, giving enough time to the challenger to hit him twice with the spike. However, he wasn’t done yet as he dropped the Lunatic Fringe on top of Spike. The nails dug deep into the Champ’s spine, with the referee struggling to remove the bat from his back.

Thanks to Yuta, Castagnoli, and PAC appearing out of nowhere and tenderizing Cope enough to allow Moxley to lock him in a Bulldog Choke until he passed out. Thus, successfully retaining the title against his bitter rival. However, his victory became a topic of conversation because fans around the world called him out for his unyielding thirst for carnage.

Fans laud Triple H and the vision he carried on with WWE

Moxley’s insatiable use of bloodshed is a routine action for him at work. In fact, there have been several instances of him blading himself during his matches in All Elite Wrestling via YouTube. This, in consequence, has made wrestling enthusiasts walk away from the well-established wrestling company.

A fan posted a clip from the Street Fight match on X, and called the match “a disgrace to the profession.” However, they were not alone because other users claim that Paul “Triple H” Levesque would never allow such blood on the floor, no matter how intense any storyline gets. The fans commented,

Nevertheless, there has been an instance, where fans wholeheartedly hated The Game’s managerial decision, which played a key role in making the lives of the locker room talent significantly better.

WWE RAW can be streamed on Netflix. Meanwhile, AEW can be streamed on MAX.
