Terri Irwin is one proud grandma. (Or, if you’ve been following along one proud “Bunny!”) The conservationist and wildlife advocate — who shares adult kids Bindi Irwin and Robert Irwin with the late Steve Irwin — just shared a precious photo with her kids and Bindi’s family of three. The children’s book author and her husband Chandler Powell share an ever-adorable 4-year-old daughter, Grace Irwin.
In the photo, the family sits on a bench in front of some luscious greenery, and everyone smiles at the camera. Even Grace Warrior sticks her head out from behind her dad’s arm and makes sure a special guest is also in sight.
And no, it’s not one of her furry (or scaley!) friends. It’s her Jasmine stuffy. As any caregiver knows, it’s hard to pry a stuffed animal (or character) out of a kiddo’s hands, and why would Grace want to leave her Disney princess behind?!
“Adventures with the whole gang!💕,” Irwin captioned the sweet snapshot.
One follower quickly spotted the unexpected addition to the gang and said, “Even Jasmine! 🥰”
Fans were once again so touched by the family photo. “All so adorably wholesome!” one person said. Another added, “Beautiful family! 💞”
“I swear the Irwins take the best pictures of each other with the amazing backgrounds,” another admirer said. ” … I love this picture of one big happy family!!”
Earlier this week, Robert Irwin posted a priceless photo of his niece sans stuffy. This time, she was snuggling with her “best bud,” Stella the pug. Robert is holding up the family dog while Grace leans in to rub noses. Even from the side, we can see that Grace must be so happy based on the crinkles around her eyes.
“Stella and Grace … best buds ☺️,” Robert captioned his post.
Followers couldn’t believe their eyes. If you were doing a quick scroll, you might have thought it was a throwback photo of the late Crocodile Hunter and Bindi when she was young.
“I did a double take! [Robert] looks like his Dad! Such a precious picture,” one follower said. Another added, “Huh for a split second I swear, it was Steve and Bindi 😢”
In Sept. 2023, Bindi spoke to SheKnows about the value of play — both with animals like Stella and toys like Jasmine! — and how integral it is for her family.
“Playtime is so important because it gives kids the opportunity to have those building blocks for the foundation for the rest of their life,” she said at the time. “It really gives you this opportunity to learn and discover — almost like accidentally learning something along the way.”
“You play and you’re building confidence, you’re expanding on your knowledge, and discovering the magic of the world around you.” And with an outlook like that, why would anyone want to take Jasmine away from Grace, even for a family photo?
