Teen killed and two boys left fighting for life after horror car crash

A TEENAGER has been killed and two others left fighting for their lives after a horror smash.

West Mercia Police responded to reports of a crash in Bradford at just after 11pm on Friday.

Officers found bystanders attempting to save an 18-year-old man at the scene on Offoxey Road, in Tong.

Paramedics tragically pronounced him dead a short while later.

Two 17-year-old boys involved in the silver Audi A1 crash were rushed to hospital in critical condition.

The force confirmed a third boy, also 17, sustained life-changing injuries but is in a stable condition.

Officers said the Audi had been travelling with a red Vauxhall Corsa and a black Volkswagen Golf, which were not involved in the incident.

Insp Steph Arrowsmith, of the force’s serious collision investigation unit, said: “This is an incredibly sad incident and first and foremost our thoughts remain with the family of the man who died, and those who are seriously injured.

“We’re asking for the public to help us understand what happened last night.”

The force have urgently appealed for information from anyone who could help piece together events leading up to the crash.

Police wish to hear from anyone who may have seen, or have dashcam footage of the car, travelling on Wood Road or Boscobel Lane, from Codsall towards Bishops Wood.
