Suits LA Season 1 Episode 4 Recap — Harvey Spector Makes a Triumphant Return

The moment original Suits fans finally come to fruition as Harvey Spector appears in this week’s episode of Suits LA. With the studio trying to remove Lester Thompson’s name from his film, Ted and Erica play a game of good cop/bad cop to ensure it doesn’t happen. A wild chain of events leads Ted to jumpstart Lester’s murder trial early, but he reaches out to someone to help him ensure they can win the case.

Suits LA Season 1, Episode 4 Recap

After discovering Samantha is trying to get Lester’s name off his upcoming movie, Erica and Ted head to meet with her on the issue. However, Samantha uses it as leverage because she knows that if they push the problem, his past shady dealings will come to the forefront at the murder trial. Of course, Ted and Erica can’t have that happen with Ted representing Lester in the murder trial, so they agree they must play good cop and bad cop with him to drop his name from the film.

Stuart does Rick a favor by meeting with one of his acting clients, Rico, who was arrested. After meeting with him, Stuart realizes their client is lying about not doing what he was accused of. This excites Rick because they will get to play good cop/bad cop with their client.

Why did Rico vandalize his neighbor’s property?

One day, Rico parked his car two inches on his neighbor’s side of the house. That night, he got a call from the police saying he needed to come to the station and get a ticket, or they would get arrested. When he got to the station, Rico asked for Officer McCracken, and he realized that his neighbor made a fool of him and recorded the entire thing, and that’s why he vandalized his property.

During their meeting with Lester, Erica, and Ted inform him that he must remove his name from the movie. However, Erica says they could try a different move by moving up his murder trial and acquitting him of that, and he could later have his name on the film. Although hesitant, Ted says he will get the job done.

Who does Ted get to help him with the Lester Thompson trial?

Ted’s attempt to expedite the trial was met with the Prosecution trying to stall. The judge gave Elizabeth 24 hours to devise a reason not to start the trial. Knowing that Lester has many secrets, Ted headed to Amanda, whom Ted overheard saying to Elizabeth that if Ted asked for my help on the trial, she would jump headfirst, so she helped him. The ploy worked as the judge moved the trial up to Monday.

Stuart and Rick devise a plan to get Rico’s neighbor (also an influencer) to drop the charges against him. The duo approaches the kid on the pickleball court, informing him that he will drop the charges. Although reluctant, Stuart and Rick tell him if he doesn’t, they will release the tape of him impersonating a police officer, leading to his arrest. The plan works as the kid agrees to drop the charges.

One of the biggest forces within the show is the flashbacks of Ted’s career back east. We have our first Harvey Spector spotting in this episode, with him and Ted playing in a softball league together, discussing his old case. Later that night, Harvey reveals that Ted has a mole in his firm and needs to figure out who it is.

Suits LA Season 1, Episode 4 Ending Explained – Will Lester Thompson’s film release?

The studio heads continued to push to get Lester’s name off of his film until Ted pulled a stunt, telling the head and Samantha that if he went through with pulling his name, there would be a list of actors who would refuse to work with the studio. Although he was bluffing, the plan worked, and Lester’s name would stay on the film, and it would be released.

Suits LA airs on Sundays on NBC at 9 PM EST.
