Rumors surrounding Sadie Sink’s Spider-Man 4 role are running wild, as since her casting was unveiled to the public, many theorized that she might be playing Peter Parker’s daughter, Mayday Parker, potentially from another universe. Moreover, her response to these rumors only fueled the speculations, and many got the impression that Brand New Day was heading for another multiversal direction.
And before the rumors surrounding the Mayday speculation could be put to rest, new rumors have emerged claiming that she might be playing Gwen Stacy, meaning we might still be in for another multiversal narrative.
Sadie Sink might be headlining Gwen Stacy in another multiversal story

Given No Way Home‘s somber ending, most felt a street-level Spider-Man story would be a great way to kickstart a new potential trilogy, especially given the fatigue surrounding multiversal narratives. However, the rumors surrounding Sadie Sink‘s potential role have been suggesting otherwise, whether it’s the rumored Mayday role or the more recent rumor.
Speaking on The Hot Mic, entertainment reporter Jeff Sneider alleged the Stranger Things star might end up playing an alternate version of Gwen Stacy amidst another multiversal narrative.
While it’s hard to say anything for certain until something official comes our way from Marvel or Sink, the latter, for now, has refused to denounce the speculations surrounding her role. Although Sink did address the rumors, she did it without spoiling anything.

She said (via Deadline):
I see a lot of rumors too. They’ve been really cool. I love the Marvel universe. I mean, they’re awesome rumors.
With Tom Holland also being tight-lipped this time around, fans can do nothing but wait, and given Sink’s stature in showbiz, it’s safe to say her stint would be something substantial, even if it isn’t Gwen Stacy.
Sadie Sink had a classic response to her Brand New Day casting
Prior to entertaining the speculations surrounding her MCU debut, which has only ignited the speculations, Sink did give fans a healthy dose of laughter with her initial response amidst her casting.
Taking to her IG, the Stranger Things star jokingly revealed that she has been cast in the role of Uncle Ben, and while hilarious, it does perfectly sum up how absurd some rumors can get when scoopers go off the rails.

Taking to her socials, the Stranger Things star posted (via IG):
Whatever the Stranger Things star’s stint is, hopefully, the MCU won’t drop the ball with Sink, as with the right material at hand, as seen in Stranger Things, she has the potential to kick it out of the park.
As for Brand New Day itself, even though it seems a multiversal story is likely, hopefully, it’ll be more about Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and won’t be a repeat of the nostalgia-fueled extravaganza.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is slated to hit the theatres on July 31, 2026 (USA).
