The second season of the highly enticing Solo Leveling anime series has finally reached its conclusion with the last episode being released on March 23, 2025. The season was one of the biggest additions to the anime industry this year and despite certain complications and controversies, it managed to live up to the expectations of fans.
And now the series is supposed to go out with a bang as the final episode will feature one of the most iconic battles in the history of Solo Leveling. As the current season is based on the Jeju Island arc, the final episode will portray the marvelous battle between the protagonist Sung Jinwoo and the Ant King, who is wreaking havoc on the S-Rank hunters of Korea and Japan.
And as the episode is quite significant to the central narrative, the creators of the anime series have decided to remove the opening theme of the series from the episode, in order to give the events more time and ensure the smooth flow of the storyline. This is one of the most assuring moves and many prominent anime series have used it to express the intensity and importance of the events within the episode.

In order to express the intensity of the upcoming episode, the creators have allegedly decided to remove the opening theme, ReawakeR by LiSA, (feat. Felix of Stray Kids) from the episode. Evidently, the episode is too intense to waste any second of it, and Solo Leveling’s opening theme is quite big compared to other anime series.
This is one of the most effective actions that the makers have implemented, and it is used by other anime programs as well, typically in two different settings.

First, in the introductory episode of the series set the scene of the story and introduce all the major characters. Second, when the episode is too intense or dramatic it needs more screen time than usual.
In Solo Leveling’s case, it is the second one. Plus, as it is the final episode, there is a possibility that it might include some cliffhangers or set the tone for the third season, which just like the second could be announced any day after the conclusion. Fans are quite hopeful that Solo Leveling will soon get the third season as the story is at its peak right now.
