Over a decade ago, a steel chair at the back of Roman Reigns from Seth Rollins did not just break the iconic Shield. But it also created a heel character in Rollins that would dominate the WWE for a long time to come. While The Architect of WWE is at odds with almost every superstar in the locker room, the hate from fans has stayed constant throughout his heel run.
Now at the height of his career, Rollins shares the spotlight with his wife, Becky Lynch, who is also an emphatic performer inside the ring. Apart from their synergy outside of WWE, they also share animosity for a prominent WWE superstar who has emerged as a major rival for Rollins in recent times.
Seth Rollins’ wife Becky Lynch hates a rival WWE superstar more than him

During a recent conversation at the Up & Adams show with Kay Adams, Seth Rollins commented on his relationship with CM Punk and pointed out that his wife, Becky Lynch, hates Punk more than he does. Punk shared:
If there’s one person that hates CM Punk more than me, it’d be ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch. It’s a full family affair.
Additionally, he also commented that his daughter has developed an affinity towards listening to his entrance music, and she doesn’t like the entrance music of CM Punk. Thus, the hatred for Punk runs in Seth Rollins’ family, and it is also evident in the kind of ferocity with which Punk plays his rivalry narrative against CM Punk.
During the conversation, Rollins talked about his relationship with Paul Heyman and also had an interesting conversation about Becky Lynch’s title match. ‘The Man’ would be fighting her partner-turned-adversary, Lyra Valkyria, for the Women’s Intercontinental title at Money in the Bank.
But it was Rollins’ comments about CM Punk that truly grabbed headlines. Seth Rollins revealed that he ensured Punk wasn’t included in the Money in the Bank ladder match, making it clear he doesn’t want him anywhere near a contract that could make him a title contender in WWE.

Rollins went on to say that he believes in taking the smart route and feels he’s dealt with Punk long enough. Having already defeated him in the main event of WrestleMania, Rollins made it clear, CM Punk is no longer a threat or a concern in his eyes.
Is there a possibility of a new chapter in the rivalry between CM Punk and Seth Rollins?

Even though Rollins said that Punk doesn’t concern him anymore, that is not evident from the recent developments between him and Punk. Ever since Seth Rollins won the high-stakes triple threat clash against Roman Reigns and CM Punk at WrestleMania 41, Punk has emerged as the biggest threat to the plans of Seth Rollins and his associates.
This is evident from the association he has carved out with Sami Zayn and the support he has received from the World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso in moments and flashes. Punk and his cohorts have unleashed an assault on Rollins and his new allies. However, each time they have received a response from them.
The former WWE Champion wanted to take the rivalry to the next level by qualifying for the Money in the Bank ladder match, but an intervention from Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed ruined things for Punk.
While Punk is not currently in the fray as far as this year’s Money in the Bank is concerned, the fact that Seth Rollins and his group are still relentlessly focused on Punk is evidence of the fact that the rivalry between these two WWE superstars is not going away anytime soon.
Punk can now potentially ruin the night for Seth Rollins in retaliation for what happened to him at the qualifying match. However, what remains to be seen in the long run is how this feud develops in the WWE and who else joins this altercation.
Money in the Bank 2025 will be streaming live on Peacock in the United States and on Netflix everywhere else on June 7, 2025.
