Sci-Fi Show With 100% RT Score Streaming on Apple TV+ Drops Final Trailer

When Foundation first came out on Apple TV+ in 2021, it quickly got the attention of sci-fi fans with its fresh premise—a genius named Hari Seldon predicts the fall of a powerful galactic empire and creates a plan to save the future. The story was different from most sci-fi shows because it jumps across different time periods and focuses on both big events and personal struggles.

This mix of complex characters and big ideas helped it stand out. Season 2, which came out in 2023, made the show even more popular. With the story continuing to grow better, it earned a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes. Now, Apple TV+ has released the final trailer for Season 3, as the platform continues to grow its strong collection of sci-fi shows and movies.

The final trailer for Foundation Season 3 has officially dropped, and it looks like the show is stepping into its most intense chapter yet. The trailer opens by revealing that over 150 years have passed since the events of Season 2. The Cleonic Empire is falling apart, with chaos rising in different parts of the galaxy. At the same time, the Foundation has grown stronger and is now seen as a serious threat to the Empire’s control.

We also get a first look at the season’s main villain—The Mule, a powerful telepath played by Pilou Asbæk. He seems unstoppable, reading minds and causing fear wherever he goes. Gaal Dornick and Salvor Hardin, who are now leading the Foundation, must team up to face this new enemy. The trailer teases fast-moving battles, growing rebellion, and a possible war that could change everything, and looks like the series will continue to build around Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series of books.

The visuals are once again stunning, with huge space scenes and intense face-offs. From the looks of it, Season 3 in no way is compromising on production quality. Foundation is clearly adding to Apple TV+’s vast library of sci-fi shows and movies.

While the first season was praised for its fresh ideas and world-building, it was Season 2 that truly stole the spotlight, earning a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score. Now, with Season 3 arriving on July 11, 2025, the series looks ready to deliver its most powerful chapter yet.

Season 3 of Foundation will see the return of many familiar faces from the earlier seasons. Jared Harris returns as the brilliant mathematician Hari Seldon, while Lee Pace reprises his role as the complex and unpredictable Brother Day. Lou Llobell is back as Gaal Dornick, along with Laura Birn as the loyal and mysterious Demerzel. Cassian Bilton and Terrence Mann also continue as Brother Dawn and Brother Dusk, keeping the Cleonic dynasty storyline intact.

But the new season isn’t just bringing back fan favorites—it’s also adding fresh characters to the mix. Pilou Asbæk joins as The Mule, a powerful telepath and one of the most dangerous villains the series has seen so far. Other newcomers include Alexander Siddig as Doctor Ebling Mis, Troy Kotsur as Preem Palver, Cherry Jones as Foundation Ambassador Quent, and Synnøve Karlsen as Bayta Mallow. These additions promise to shake things up as the galaxy heads toward all-out conflict.

The Foundation is set to premiere on July 11th, 2025, on Apple TV+ (USA).
