As we head into the winter months – with Sunday being the 1st of June – temperatures are starting to fall around SA, but the good news is that it looks set to be a pleasant weather weekend countrywide.
According to the SA weather service, fine and cool to warm weather across the country is predicted this weekend, although it will be partly cloudy with a possibility of light rain and showers in the south-west.
It will be relatively chilly in Cape Town, where temperatures won’t go much beyond 15°C, and while there will be plenty of low-lying cloud cover most of the weekend, the strong winds from the week have at least abated.
In Gauteng, typically cold mornings and evenings will make way for fine to warm conditions in the day, with temperatures peaking around 19°C in the early afternoons of Saturday and Sunday.
Along the coast, Gqeberha looks set for a warm and pleasant day on Saturday as temperatures peak at 19°C with minimal wind to take note of, while Sunday is only marginally cooler.
The most enviable weather is typically in Durban, where temperatures all weekend will be in the low 20s, while there is barely a breath of wind expected.
