Maura shared the video on Instagram where she revealed just how much can be grown in a small area.

In the video, the Galway native showcased the plants and admitted she was surprised at how wild her sage had gotten.

She said: “Now I don’t know whether it’s the weather but look at this. This sage has gone absolutely mad.”

The popular presenter pointed out how the herb, that was originally in a small pot, had managed to root itself into the ground.

She said: “It’s all growing from this tiny pot which has managed to kind of irk itself into the ground.”

Maura also told followers that the size of your outdoor area doesn’t matter when it comes to gardening.

She explained: “But it just shows you that even in a small city garden like mine, you can really grow lots of herbs.

Then continuing the tour, she added: “I have rosemary here, two different types of mint, I have lettuce growing and chives.”

And at the end of the clip, Maura said: “But really it’s very easy to grow all of these different herbs in a city garden, or even on a balcony if you don’t have a garden.”

The TV star captioned her post: “I don’t think I could cook without using herbs. And it’s feels great to use home grown.

“I don’t just use herbs for cooking, but also to make teas (mint is my favourite) and for medicinal use – sage is a great cure for a sore throat and is calming.

“They are so easy to grow, even in a tiny city garden or on an apartment balcony.”

Maura’s fans and friends all flocked to the comment section to share their love for her post.
