Roman Reigns is arguably one of the greatest wrestlers to ever step foot inside the squared circle. Over the years, Reign has been involved in many iconic feuds and storylines, inspiring generations after generations with his effortless wrestling skills and a striking persona.
Without a doubt, the Tribal Chief is one of the most important wrestlers in the promotion, and his huge paycheck proves that. But now things are changing in WWE, and Roman Reigns is no longer the asset he used to be. Reigns has become a part-timer in WWE, which may lead to the company giving him a new contract with a much smaller paycheck.
Is WWE going to give a new contract to Roman Reigns with a lower paycheck?

Rumours like WWE not renewing Reigns’ contract or giving him a brand new contract with a much smaller amount were circulating on social media platforms recently.
Though it is absolutely certain that WWE will not part ways with the Tribal Chief but they will give him a new contract with a significantly smaller paycheck, at least that’s what Spanish commentator Hugo Savinovich thinks. While talking to Lucha Libre Online, Hugo Savinovich opened up on the situation.
And TKO? They’re cutting costs across the board. We’ve seen recent releases, and there are rumors of more. Remember when Nick Khan—a major WWE exec—announced he was selling $4 million worth of stock? That raised eyebrows. TKO is saying: Roman’s not around full-time. Why are we paying him so much? So, they want to renegotiate.
Roman Reigns has become a sort of part-timer, and not appearing consistently at WWE events is the main reason behind the entire situation. WWE is trying to decrease its payroll recently and is taking drastic steps to reach its goal.
It will be interesting to see how Triple H will react to the entire situation and what kind of contract WWE is planning to offer Reigns, and if the Tribal Chief will be interested in signing it. No matter what, one thing is for certain: Roman Reigns is one of the biggest superstars in WWE, and the promotion will do everything possible to keep him on board.
Spanish commentator ends any doubts regarding Roman Reigns leaving WWE

In the same interview, the Spanish commentator revealed whether there is even the slightest chance of WWE releasing The Tribal Chief from its main roster.
They won’t outright release him, he won’t be making $15 million per year anymore…Now, why $15 million?
He then went on to break down Roman Reigns’ salary, explaining how his paycheck reaches almost $15 million according to his present contract.
Roman Reigns’ base salary is $5 million. But then there are add-ons—pay-per-views, video game deals like WWE 2K, promotional appearances, merchandise royalties (he earns 30% on merch, which is huge), and special bonuses like appearances in Saudi Arabia. Plus, he earns a cut from ticket sales. All of this adds up to $15 million a year.
Even though WWE will decrease the amount they pay to Reigns, one thing is sure: from Savinovich’s statement that Roman Reigns will stay in the company no matter what.
TKO has left many significant names off the current roster for their huge paycheck, like R-Truth recently, but that might not be the case with Reigns, because, like John Cena and the Rock, the Tribal Chief is also an integral part of the promotion.
Roman Reigns might have limited his appearances in WWE, but still, there are very few wrestlers in WWE’s current roster who can gather crowds like he does.
