VACLAV CERNY could be punished by the SFA with a ban of up to EIGHT games after spraying Celtic fans with water on Sunday.
The Czechia international, 27, made a splash in the home end when he drenched Celtic supporters with a water bottle during the wild celebrations for Hamza Igamane‘s winner.

The incident could now leave Cerny, who is on loan from Wolfsburg, in hot water with Scottish football bosses as they’re under pressure to crack down on players getting involved with supporters – particularly in a fiery occasion like an Old Firm showdown.
Footage showed Cerny aiming his water bottle in the direction of fans while sprinting down the touchline to celebrate with his team-mates.
Cerny isn’t the only Gers star who faces punishment as Dujon Sterling could also be carpeted for his foul-mouthed social media post after the game.
The former Chelsea youngster branded Celtic Park a s***hole on an Instagram post which he uploaded shortly after full-time.
The Daily Record claim both Cerny and Sterling could be in trouble with investigations currently underway.
The report states the winger could receive a ban of anything from two to eight games due to SFA rules.
Sterling on the other hand could also be carpeted wit Hampden beaks previously taking action against players for public comments which are deemed offensive or bring the game into question.
The Instagram post read: “Huge shift by everyone today at that s***hole – it doesn’t get much better! There’s more to come Gers.”
Although both players could feel the heat, it’s believed the two clubs will avoid punishment relating to fan behaviour.
Police officials held talks with the SFA match delegate after the game and that debrief will received by the SFA and SPFL along with referee’s report too.
Gers fans set off pyro inside the stadium at full-time but it’s said it’s unlikely the Ibrox club will be punished.
League bosses are awaiting reports from Police Scotland on incidents involving Rangers players being allegedly targeted with missiles during the ‘watergate’ flashpoint.
