R-Truth Returns to WWE, But Did Triple H Lie to Us About Carlito Too: Money in the Bank 2025

“You can’t handle the truth!” Indeed, you can’t handle it, John Cena, because the 2025 Money in the Bank was saved by the grace of a returning R-Truth. The star was released earlier this month, when it was reported that the star was not offered a new WWE contract and it was decided to let them go from the company.

Tempers were flaring in the wrestling community, leading to a series of outbursts from the fans. Interestingly enough, the fans complained that the premium live event fell flat with obvious wins that made the fans fall asleep.

However, every fan was cheering when the star made a surprising return, giving a highlight for the 16th annual Money in the Bank that gave them their ‘Truth.’

R-Truth returns to hand a victory to Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso

WWE Money in the Bank is in its final stretch, where the crowd present at the Intuit Dome is witnessing greatness as John Cena and Logan Paul face off against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso in a tag team match. The match has been anticipated for weeks, more than the MITB Ladder match, which was supposed to be the main attraction of the PPV.

One should not be surprised because it was more than Cena turning heel at the 2025 Elimination Chamber by launching a brutal assault on Rhodes for his Undisputed WWE Championship and then winning it at WrestleMania 41. The feud has surely cooked well with the right quantity of spices, including a pinch of physical assault, a dash of personal insults, and a whole lot of drama.

The entire arena was on its feet when the four men dug deep to keep their opponents down for three seconds to pick up the victory. From non-stop AAs to getting a bird’s-eye view of Paul, the tension was surely high, and Cena wanted to pick his 2nd straight victory over Rhodes. However, the growing tension between the 17-time WWE Champion and the Maverick was evident as they started arguing mid-match. Thus, allowing the Yeet Man to make a tag, creating chaos inside the squared circle.

This even led to the Maverick accidentally giving a splash to Cena as the former Undisputed Champion hooked his leg. The tension eventually shifted outside the ring, where Uso and Paul were hurt, and the latter hit the home run with a splash of his own.

Meanwhile, inside the ring, Cena gave the scenes from the Show of Shows, where he hit The American Nightmare with his title and went to cover him. However, the GOAT was stopped on his path when someone in a black hoodie entered the ring, tackled him, and landed a flurry of punches. The man unmasked himself, and to the fans’ surprise, it was R-Truth, who returned the favor by hitting Cena with the title.

The crowd was cheering as the superstar was true to his words and wanted to bring his childhood hero back to the good side. In the process, it assisted Rhodes and Uso to steal the victory and have their moment in front of the half-empty arena.

The WWE Universe loved R-Truth’s return

Criticize as you may, but Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque has indeed the greatest creative vision in the history of WWE. The CCO pulled a ‘fake’ R-Truth report, making the fans grieve and even question his managerial ability from his locker room colleagues. Now, these allegations can be put to rest, and he has once again ended the PPV on a high note.

The return became the highlight of the night when WWE shared the clip on X, receiving a flood of views and likes. But more importantly, a ton of comments were that fans were in tears as they saw the 2-time US Champion return and save the day. The fans commented,

The few fans are celebrating the return of the superstar; they are still scratching their heads, wondering if it was a mere cameo or if he got a new contract. Now, the question remains if Carlito can also return or if he was released for real.

All these questions will be answered in the upcoming segment of Monday Night RAW, where the fans will learn “What’s up?!” from Truth himself.
