Prince William, Kate Middleton Share Sporty Weekend Plans With All 3 Kids

Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton shared insight into how they spend weekends as a family — and it involves “lots” of sports!

“At weekends we go from one competition to the next,” William, 42, said at an event before the Six Nations match between England and Wales at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on Saturday, March 15, Hello! Magazine reported.

“Louis is 6 and he’s just started touch rugby and George is 11 and he plays a bit more. They do really enjoy it,” Kate, 43, chimed in, according to the outlet.

“They’ve been exposed to lots of different sports,” she added.

The couple made the comments during a meeting with injured players supported by the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust.

The Princes and Princess of Wales made the outing in their roles as official patrons of different rugby organizations. William is patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, while Kate’s patronage is the Rugby Football Union.

William and Kate have three children together: Prince George, born in 2013, Princess Charlotte, born in 2015, and Prince Louis, born in 2018.

The couple’s recent revelation is likely unsurprising to royal fans, who are likely aware of the family’s well-known love for soccer.

In an interview with The Sun published on Thursday, March 13, William revealed that he gets the kids involved when he watches his favorite team, Aston Villa, at home on the television.

“If I’m home alone with the children, I probably don’t have the pre-match pint but I do have a bit of superstition about where I sit when I’m watching them,” William told the outlet of his game day ritual.

“If we’re not doing very well, I start moving ‘round the house quite quickly and I put the children in different positions hoping that’s going to change our luck,” he added.

William said while he has encouraged his kids to get involved with soccer, he’d be happy for them to forge their own pathS.

“I’m kind of hoping they’ll all find their own teams in time,” William said.
