Diddy’s name used to be synonymous with over-the-top parties, platinum records, and that signature swagger many wanted to recreate. These days, though, it’s popping up in headlines for far more serious reasons. Once the king of hip-hop, Sean “Diddy” Combs is now tangled in a storm of allegations, lawsuits, and an ongoing trial that will soon decide his fate.
The rap mogul’s trial began in May under Judge Arun Subramanian, and since then, many witnesses have come forward, testifying in court. One of these witnesses was a former assistant, who recalled Diddy’s true feelings about one of the most prolific actors of our time – Leonardo DiCaprio.
What did Diddy say about Leonardo DiCaprio?

Leonardo DiCaprio has been mentioned quite a few times ever since Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ arrest in September 2024. People have accused him of taking part in the infamous “Freak-Offs,” but of course, none of it is enough to actually ruin his reputation yet.
During the ongoing trial, Combs’ former assistant, identified with the pseudonym Mia, was brought to the stand by the rapper’s defence team for cross-examination. His lawyers asked her about the texts she sent her former boss after he allegedly abused her, both physically and s*xually.
Mia admitted that her texts to Combs after her termination were only positive. The texts in question had her saying things like “Love you, too” and remembering all the “good times” they had together (via Fox News).
Those texts also name-drop Leonardo DiCaprio, but not for any bad reason. Mia recalled a high-stakes poker game between the superstar and Combs, one that ended with the latter winning a whopping $650K, while the former only won $10,000.
In the text messages, she recalled Combs saying how DiCaprio didn’t know anything:
…Leo [DiCaprio] grabbed my pink bedazzled BlackBerry, and you said that Titanic mother f—– doesn’t know s—. He won 10K, I won 650K. Ha ha ha. Gosh, there are trillions of stories that are amazing.
While DiCaprio being casually mentioned in the middle of the trial is sure to bring in some unwanted attention towards the actor, it does not implicate him in any way.
Diddy’s lawyer pokes holes in Mia’s testimony

Mia once told the jurors that Combs had tormented and s*xually assaulted her while she was still working with him as his personal assistant. During the days she spent in court, she had her credibility questioned by Combs’ defence attorneys.
At one point on June 02, his lawyers claimed that Mia had misinterpreted and made up a huge chunk of the story she was telling. On the other hand, she stood by her testimony and instead stated that she was “brainwashed” by her former boss.
One of his lawyers, Brian Steel, openly questioned Mia and tried to poke holes in her testimony. He asked her for proof of her claims, and when she had none, Steel commented that that is because none of it is true.
Steel asked, “Do you have any recording of Mr. Combs berating you?” to which she replied, “No, I would not have been allowed to record that.” The lawyer doubled down on her, stating, “Because it’s not true, is it, Mia?” In turn, Mia asserted that she has only told the truth in court.
Combs is charged with one count of racketeering conspiracy, two counts of s*x trafficking, and two counts of transportation to engage in pr*stitution. If found guilty by the end of the trial, the rapper could face life in prison. The trial is supposed to go on for a total of eight weeks, with Judge Arun Subramanian stating that he is hopeful that proceedings will wrap up by the July 04 holiday.
