One Piece: Why Everyone Is Wrong About Kuzan’s True Allegiance That May Be Oda’s Biggest Challenge

Even though the One Piece storyline has entered the final saga long ago, there are still a lot of mysteries to uncover, and among them, one of the biggest ones is Kuzan’s true goal. When the time skip ended, and it was revealed that Kuzan had left the Marines, fans were actually shocked because he was one of the few Navy soldiers who actually understood justice.

However, the bigger shock was when Eiichiro Oda decided to make Kuzan join the Blackbeard Pirates as one of their Ten Titanic Captains. This was such a big twist that to this day, fans don’t believe that Kuzan will betray the Marines and his own principles to become a pirate.

Thus, speculations and theories started surfacing on the internet about him being a spy for either the Marines or the Revolutionary Army. Still, there is a possibility that everyone might be wrong about Kuzan’s allegiance, and he might have some personal goal of his own.

Kuzan’s true intentions have put every One Piece fan in a spiral

When Kuzan’s character was first introduced in One Piece, it was already established that he is an extremely powerful figure within the One Piece universe, and it won’t benefit anyone to mess with him. His principles regarding justice made him an intriguing character, and as the story moved forward, fans started liking his development.

However, when he lost the position of Fleet Admiral to Sakazuki, he decided to leave the Marines and go on his own journey. Things became even more out of control when One Piece fans saw him with Blackbeard and his crew, discussing the different aspects of the One Piece world. Thus began the huge waves of theories about Kuzan’s true intentions within the story.

While some believed that he was either a secret member of the Marines or the SWORD and was on a mission linked to the Blackbeard Pirates, others believed that he joined the Revolutionary Army and was keeping track of Blackbeard and his crew. These theories proved that no one is ready to accept Kuzan’s betrayal, and they would rather be confused about his development in One Piece.

Kuzan’s allegiance will be the biggest challenge for Eiichiro Oda

One Piece’s creator, Eiichiro Oda, has a habit of foreshadowing big mysteries about the story and characters within the narrative. However, there are some moments where what’s delivered is the real truth, and that may be the case with Kuzan. While it is guaranteed that he is going to betray the Blackbeard Pirates, the speculations that he is a spy might not be true at all.

Kuzan has always been on edge about how the Marines implement justice within the world. But that doesn’t mean that he will shift sides or take on a role in any other organization.

There is a chance that he might actually want to become an outlaw, so that he can execute his form of justice in the best way possible within One Piece, without any kind of restrictions.

Thus, it is a possibility that Kuzan has decided to take matters into his own hands and deliver justice in his own way. This way, he won’t have to answer anyone about his actions, and it will also help with his character development within the One Piece storyline.
