With the ongoing One Piece plot being at its most thrilling state, every fan of the series is desperately hoping for the members of the Straw Hat Pirates to get a power up. While each member of the crew deserves a different kind of upgrade, in an ideal situation, the best ability that would help them beat all the odds and become victorious would be Conqueror’s Haki.
Conqueror’s Haki is the most powerful form of the three types of Haki introduced in One Piece, and only a select few characters are lucky enough to use this. It is the most suitable ability in any kind of situation, and in some ways, every Straw Hat member deserves it.
However, the one member of the crew who deserves it the most is Franky, the Shipwright of the Straw Hat Pirates. His achievements in One Piece make him worth a Conqueror’s Haki upgrade, but Eiichiro Oda more or less messed it up for him.
Franky might have had the most underrated achievements in One Piece
Ever since Franky was introduced in One Piece, he has been a quirky, independent-minded, and strong-willed character whose actions are not limited by any kind of rule or regulations. He does what he sees fit, and aside from his crew and his captain, Luffy, he doesn’t really care about other people’s opinions within the One Piece storyline.
Not only that, he doesn’t even consider the physical limitations of his body, which is why he turned himself into a Cyborg, and constantly upgrades his features. When he was first seen in One Piece, he was running a gang of his own that scared the entire Water 7 city. Also, he is the most probably the only character in One Piece who doesn’t care about the Ancient Weapons, as he literally burned down the plans of the Ancient Weapon Pluton.
His other achievements include disregarding a member of the Five Elders and running a bike over the face of one of the Emperors of the One Piece world (Big Mom). All of these actions of Franky as a One Piece character make him a complete badass in more than one way.
Franky deserves Conqueror’s Haki more than anyone else
It has been firmly established in One Piece that the only characters who have Conqueror’s Haki within the story are those who display the characteristics and qualities of a King.

It allows them to assert their will over others and dominate them by intimidating them or making them lose consciousness. Thus, if anyone deserves to have Conqueror’s Haki in One Piece, it is Franky.
Since the start, Franky has displayed the qualities of a King in every possible way. His goofy portrayal aside, he has been one of the most mature and savage characters in One Piece, and it only gets better as the narrative moves on. However, it won’t be possible for him because he is just a cyborg.
While this has not been officially confirmed by Eiichiro Oda, the overall narrative of One Piece has made it clear that modified individuals like Franky can never attain such power. There is a possibility that he might get other forms of Haki, but he can never have Conqueror’s Haki in his arsenal.
