Neetu Chandra Urges Public Action Against Obscene Songs, Join Hands With Bihar Police

Actress Neetu Chandra, after filing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in Patna High Court seeking a complete ban on obscene Bhojpuri and Hindi songs, has taken her fight a step further by issuing a powerful promotional video. In the video, Chandra encourages the public, especially women, to take action by contacting the authorities if they hear any obscene songs in public places, particularly those in North Indian languages.

 

The video, released by the official handle of Bihar Police, carries a strong message, accompanied by the caption: “Appeal to cooperate with #BiharPolice in public interest to completely stop the broadcasting of double meaning/obscene songs in Bhojpuri, Magahi, Maithili, Hindi, and other languages at public places/sites. #WomenEmpowerments #HainTaiyaarHum @IPRDBihar @BiharHomeDept @nituchandra.” This appeal aims to protect the public, especially young girls, from songs that perpetuate inappropriate content and unsafe environments.

 

In addition to her advocacy, Neetu Chandra has reportedly taken legal action against popular singer and rapper Honey Singh for his new song Maniac, which she claims contains obscene lyrics. The actress argues that such songs not only degrade societal values but also create an unsafe atmosphere for school-going girls, urging that legal consequences should follow for singers who produce and promote such content.

 

Neetu Chandra’s efforts highlight her growing commitment to women’s safety and empowerment, advocating for stricter regulations to curb the spread of objectionable content in public spaces.
