When ordering food on the popular takeaway apps, shoppers will be able to earn one point for every £1 spent.

To collect the points, all users will need to do is enter their Advantage Card number at the checkout.

Points will be based on the price of items only, and will not take into account delivery or service fees.

Boots chief digital officer Paula Bobbett said: “We are delighted to be able to add additional benefits for customers choosing to shop on Deliveroo and Uber Eats.

“Not only can they enjoy delivery to their door in as little as 20 minutes, but they can now also earn Advantage Card points on their purchases, meaning that they can treat themselves later too.”

As well as earning points by spending money on Deliveroo and Uber Eats, Boots lovers can also get their favourite beauty products delivered to them in as little as 20 minutes.

Boots first teamed up with Deliveroo in 2021 in a 14-store trial, which was then extended.

In 2022, the health and beauty retailer partnered with Uber Eats, and over 240 stories currently offer on-demand delivery through Deliveroo and Uber Eats.

Shoppers can use the delivery service to nab over 10,000 Boots products, such as food and drink, healthcare and baby products.

Suzy McClintock, VP of New Verticals at Deliveroo said: “Boots Advantage Cards have been helping people unlock great value on vital health, wellness and beauty products for years so we are excited to bring this benefit to our platform, enhancing our growing retail offer and enabling our customers to make the most of every order.”

Alex Troughton, Uber Eats RGM of Grocery and Retail for EMEA and UK said: “At Uber Eats, we’re always looking for ways to bring more convenience to our customers, and this partnership is another great step in making essential health and beauty products more accessible.

“Whether it’s cold and flu medication, baby essentials, or a last-minute gift, customers can now get what they need delivered in minutes through Uber Eats—and earn Boots Advantage Card points while they do it.”

To sign up for an Advantage Card simply speak to a member of staff in store, or fill out the form on the Boots website.

Every time you buy something in a Boots store, online or via the app you will collect three points for every £1 you spend.

Supermarket loyalty schemes – which has one?

MOST UK supermarkets have loyalty schemes so customers can build up points and save money while they shop.

Here we round up what saving programmes you’ll find at the big brands.

  • Iceland: Unlike other stores, you don’t collect points with the Iceland Bonus Card. Instead, you load it up with money and Iceland will give you £1 for every £20 you save.
  • Lidl Plus: Lidl customers don’t collect points when they shop, and are instead rewarded with personalised vouchers that gives them money off at the till.
  • Morrisons: The My Morrisons: Make Good Things Happen replaces the More Card and rewards customers with personalised money off vouchers via the app.
  • Sainsbury’s: While Sainsbury’s doesn’t have a personal scheme, it does own the Nectar card which can also be used in Argos, eBay and other shops. You need 200 Nectar points to save up £1 to spend on your card. You need to spend at least £1 to get one Nectar point.
  • Tesco: Tesco Clubcard has over 17million members in the UK alone. You use it each time you shop and build up points that can be turned into vouchers – 150 points gets you a £1.50 voucher. Here you need to spend £1 in Tesco to get one point.
  • Waitrose: myWaitrose also doesn’t allow you to collect points but instead you’ll get access to free hot drinks, and discounts off certain brands in store.

Save up your points and check how much they are worth online or at the till.

Once you’ve saved up enough points, you can use them instead of cash next time you shop.

As well as earning points, you can also get 10% off on many own-brand Boots products as well.

While the Advantage card offers up the chance to earn points on thousands of products, you can’t get them when purchasing everything.

You won’t earn points if buying baby milk, just like at other shops, as they are not allowed to have promotions on formula.

You can’t earn loyalty card points when buying prescriptions, stamps, gift vouchers/cards or when topping up your mobile phone either.
