ROAD users near the capital this morning are facing traffic delays to a multi-vehicles collision on the M50.
And a multi-vehicle collision near Drogheda is adding to road delays this morning.
On the M50 southbound a multi-vehicle collision occurred just before 9am between J6 M50/N3 and J7 M50/N4.
Lane 4 has been impacted by the early morning crash.
Traffic bosses have warned delays may occur and motorists should obey emergency services at the scene.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland warned: “Some delays to your journey may occur.
“When approaching the collision location, drive with caution, reduce your speed and please obey instructions from emergency services.”
SECOND CRASH
And between Dundalk and Drogheda a collision is sitting on the M1/N1 near J14 Ardee and J13 Dunleer North.
The collision has been reported 1km north of the Dunleer area headed southbound.
Lane 2 has impacted and traffic bosses are warning delays may occur.
On the M50 congestion northbound is sitting between J5 M50/N2 and J3 M1/M50, J9 Red Cow and J6 M50/N3 and between J12 Firhouse and J10 Ballymount.
Southbound traffic has built between J12 Firhouse and J13 Dundrum, J10 Ballymount and J13 Dundrum, J5 M50/N2 and J7 M50/N4, J4 Ballymun and J6 M50/N3 and between J3 M1/M50 and J5 M50/N2.
And for public transport users there are also delays this morning.
The 07:05 GCD/Drogheda service is running behind schedule today due to a “technical issue on board”.
Posting on social media to alert passengers Irish Rail said: “Due to a technical issue onboard, the 07:05 GCD/Drogheda service is operating approximately 10 minutes behind schedule.”
And the 7:15am Westport/Heuston is currently stopped between Knockcroghery/Athlone due to a level crossing issue.
Staff are on route to the scene.
REDUCED CAPACITY
It comes as a number of services are operating at a reduced capacity today.
Irish rail said: “The 06:40 Howth/Bray service will operate with reduced capacity this morning.”
And a number of morning and afternoon services at certain locations are also operating with reduced numbers.
