Lucky Irish player scoops up €500k prize in Lotto draw as bosses reveal where winning ticket was sold

A LUCKY Irish punter has scooped up a life changing sum after winning big in tonight’s draw.

The player will take home €500,000 after winning the EuroMillions plus draw.

And Lotto bosses revealed that the golden ticket was sold somewhere in Co Dublin.

The winning numbers were 7, 20, 25, 37 and 40.

The lucky player matched all five numbers to take home the big prize.

And 76 people won a tidy €2,000 after matching four numbers.

But there was no winner of the EuroMillions overall jackpot, now worth an eye watering €163,297,044.

The life changing sum is still up for grabs for anyone who can match five numbers plus two bonus figures.

The matching numbers in tonight’s draw were 8, 10, 33, 35, and 49.

And the two bonus numbers were two and nine.

There were also no Irish winners of the second EuroMillions draw, which can be won by matching five numbers plus one bonus.

And there was no winner in Ireland of the third prize, given to anyone who scores all five winning numbers.

But those who bought a Lotto plus ticket in Dublin have been urged to check their ticket.

If they are the lucky winner, they should keep the golden ticket safe and contact Lotto HQ.

Meanwhile, a delighted player in Co Wicklow scooped €500,000 after playing the Lotto almost every week.

She told of how she almost didn’t believe the news when she found out just days ago.

And Lotto bosses have since revealed that the golden ticket was bought at a Lidl location on the Dublin Road, in Bray.

‘I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT’

The delighted winner has already made her way to Lotto HQ in the capital to claim her huge prize.

The delighted woman said: “I play both the Lotto and EuroMillions most weeks, but the most I’ve ever won was €2,000.

“On the night of the draw, I checked the prize breakdown to see if there were any winners locally.

“Initially, I thought I was one of the €5,000 raffle winners until I scanned my ticket, and it said ‘You’ve Won Big’ – I couldn’t believe it.”
