Love Is Blind star Ben Mezzenga says he wouldn’t be surprised to learn that his ex-fiancée Sara Carton has moved on with Joey Leveille, another cast member on season 9 of the show.
In a series of TikTok posts shared on March 12, Ben shared his side of their breakup and alluded to rumors that Sara is now dating Joey, which she has denied. Ben’s videos were a response to Sara’s claims during the Love Is Blind season 9 reunion that he dumped her out of the blue after they tried to give their relationship another shot when filming ended.
Ben said Sara’s reaction to their split left him “confused” because Sara “ghosted” him after he made attempts to apologize to her.

“I thought if you really wanted to be with someone you would fight for it,” he said, before hinting that rumors about Sara and Joey’s relationship cleared up some of his confusion. “After the new information came out I might not be too confused after all.”
“I’m not confirming anything but them being together isn’t necessarily a surprise, especially based on what Joey may have done with Madison. Who knows,” Ben added, referring to Joey reaching out another woman from the pods, Madison Errichiello, while still in a relationship with ex-fiancée Monica Danús, who he split from during the finale of the show.
Rumors that Joey and Sara are dating first surfaced a March 11 episode of the Reality Receipts podcast. “Apparently [Joey and Sara] were spotted in a hair salon together, and then people very close to the situation have confirmed that they are dating,” podcast host Rikkii alleged, adding that she wouldn’t be “surprised if they tried to come out and say, ‘No, we’re just friends,’ then six months from now, saying it evolved into a relationship.”
Well, just as Rikki predicted, Sara denied the rumors during a March 13 episode of The Viall Files podcast, claiming that she and Joey have “a really great friendship.”
“This whole situation, I’ve felt very close with Joey,” Sara said. “I’m fond of our relationship, but I feel very well supported by all those involved. I’m just very grateful that I’ve met him, but, yeah, we definitely have a friendship.” She added that they are “definitely not dating” right now but said, “I don’t know what the future will hold.”
