The manga’s conclusion means that the ongoing plot of Kaiju No. 8 is most likely the last development in the narrative of the series. This also proves that the current villain of the story, Kaiju No. 9, who fused with the Daikaiju of the Meireki Era, is most likely the final boss of the series. There is no doubt that his inclusion in the story was indeed a great development, but it feels incomplete, and the pacing involving his role in the story feels a little stretched out.
Kaiju No. 8 is one of the greatest stories in the history of the Shonen genre, and if it had done a little better with the final villain, the series would have entered the big leagues. However, now fans will have to deal with the disappointment of the final boss, who more or less ruins everything that the Kaiju No. 8 story went through to reach its conclusion.
