A Poundland shopper was left beaming when browsing the aisles in her local store, when she stumbled across a room spray for just 99p.

Not only was the Floral Gardenia Room Spray super purse-friendly, but according to this savvy woman, it smells just like a popular Gucci scent too.

Keen to show off her bargain buy, Karen Taylor took to social media, leaving many open-mouthed.

Posting on BARGAIN LOVERS Poundland, Home Bargains, B&M, Primark, The Range & More, a public Facebook group with 775,900 members, Karen shared a snap of her new room spray.

Alongside the picture of her purchase, Karen wrote: “99p, I swear it smells of Gucci Flora Poundland.”

Karen later penned: “I saw two but opted for this one and honestly, it’s gorgeous.”

Thanks to Karen’s purchase, which was less than £1, her home now smells just like the Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Eau De Parfum spray.

But the popular fragrance doesn’t come cheap, and has a price tag of £95.

So if you’re on a budget but don’t want to compromise on the smell in your home, then this 99p is one you won’t want to miss.

The Poundland buy is designed to fit tough odours and instantly freshen the air, without the luxury price tag.

But you’ll need to move fast if you want to nab it, as Karen’s post has clearly impressed many.

It has quickly racked up 549 likes and 85 comments in just two days and bargain hunters eagerly flocked to the comments to share their thoughts.

An ex employee on Poundland’s prices

Holly Laing, 22, from Northampton, has revealed she used to work in Poundland and often heard customers say the same annoying thing.

Holly claimed she worked for Poundland in 2015 for three months as a Christmas temp.

She said that customers would get annoyed when products cost more than £1 individually.

In a comical video, Holly acted out a scenario that often occurred on her shift at the bargain store, where customers were always baffled and irritated that items could cost over £1.

Holly uploaded her video with the caption “I heard this a lot” as she said: “POV: Not everything’s £1 in Poundland”.

Holly explained that customers would often say to her: “But this is the pound shop, is it not?”

“That’s very misleading, I’ll only pay for that if it’s a pound.”

“Disgusting, what a rip off.”
