IShowSpeed often races with celebrities including the current fastest man on Earth, Noah Lyles. Being a non-athlete, he is incredibly fast and has earned appreciation from fans for his speed. You can find several simulations pitting him against other celebrities to find out who is faster. However, fans might not need a simulation to know whether he is faster than Tom Cruise.

Cruise, known for doing his own stunts, has proved himself to be very athletic. During one of the chase sequences in Mission: Impossible 3, he outran the camera unit that was capturing him in the sequence. The camera’s speed was enough to determine the actor’s speed.
IShowSpeed is faster than Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 3

IShowSpeed faced off in a 100 m race with KSI in 2023 and proved to his fans that he was quick on his feet (via Dexerto). He comfortably beat the British YouTuber making his fans happy. He later raced the fastest man, Noah Lyles, for a 50 m distance. He initially took the lead before conceding defeat to Lyles. This has earned him much appreciation from fans.
According to a simulation by Motion Athlete, Speed clocked a time of 5.98 seconds to complete the 50 m dash against Lyles. His speed in this event was calculated to be 18.7 miles per hour (mph). Last year, he also ran a 40-yard dash while appearing at an NFL game. According to Bleacher Report, he ran the distance in 4.44 seconds. His speed in the NFL event was 18.4 mph.
Tom Cruise‘s speed in Mission: Impossible 3 was revealed by co-producer Arthur Anderson when he appeared on the Light The Fuse podcast. He shared that Cruise had to run through a small sidewalk during a chase sequence. Anderson shared that they could tell how fast the actor was running because of a speedometer on the computer that tells how fast the cable cam was moving.
Anderson revealed that he was running faster than the cable cam and his final speed on record was 16.8 mph. Anderson shared that it was comparable to the running of Olympic athletes. He shared:
We can tell how fast he is running because we got a speedometer on the computer. Tells you how fast the cable cam’s going. First time, he was running faster than the cable cam, and the final speed that he was running was 16.8 miles an hour. That’s like Olympic. These sidewalks had bricks all over the place. He’s running through people, and he was just smoking it. I couldn’t believe it.
Comparing IShowSpeed’s 18.7 mph and Cruise’s 16.8 mph, it is clear that Speed is way faster than the actor. However, as Anderson mentioned, Cruise was running along a path that may have restricted his pace. We may never know if Cruise in his prime could’ve actually beaten Speed.
IShowSpeed aims to run at the Olympics 100 m event

Last November, IShowSpeed expressed his desire to participate in a competitive race. When he appeared at the ComplexCon, he shared, “2028, I’ll be running in the Olympics for sure” (via Complex). However, he wasn’t entirely sure about the event as he suggested that he would run “100m and 50m, and maybe 20m.”
The streamer had to be informed that the Olympics only had the 100 m event. He responded, “You know what I mean, well 100m then.” He went on to claim that he could’ve beaten Noah Lyles in the 50 m dash. He shared that he had a rocky start, explaining:
Noah was doing…he had 30 minutes to exercise and warm up, and he had his own spikes, and he had his own gear. Like, he had the right gear and I drove three hours.
Lyles will probably compete in the 2028 Olympics and fans will have to wait to see if Speed and Lyles go head-to-head in an international race event.
