Spoilers ahead for ‘Ginny and Georgia’ Season 3.
The finale of Ginny and Georgia season 3 ended with not one, but (almost) two twists. Not only did the lengthy murder trial take over the third season of Ginny and Georgia, but the latest act also incorporated the theme of pregnancy subtly into the narrative.
Premiering on June 5, Ginny and Georgia picked up the pace pretty quickly and took it up from where it ended at the finale of season 2. The last season ended with Georgia’s arrest for Tom Fuller’s murder, and the season wasted no time in proceeding to the drama in the courtroom.
However, the murder procedure was not the only stirring point of the season, as the show experimented with the theme of pregnancy as well. While hints of positive pregnancy reports are shown early in the show, the question remains whether Georgia is really pregnant again.
Ginny & Georgia Season 3 plays big with pregnancy speculations
Ginny and Georgia opened with heightened drama in their third season. While the season focused on Georgia (Brianne Howey) battling the murder allegations, the season also depicted glimpses of her connection with her daughter, Ginny.

It all started with a pregnancy test in the season. While for a moment it appeared Georgia was pregnant, it wasn’t the case initially. It was the 16-year-old Ginny who conceived following her brief affair with Wolfe, whom she met in her poetry class.
Nevertheless, Georgia, in one of her pathetic best, kept the pregnancy test to keep Mayor Paul Randolph from divorcing her. Despite her attempts, Paul ends up divorcing her (a rather public one that too) after PI Gabriel Cordova accused the Mayoress of being a serial killer.
But does that end the pregnancy trope? Actually no. While Georgia might have faked her pregnancy initially, by the end of the season, there were ample hints that the mother-of-two was actually pregnant after all (via ScreenRant).

By the end of the season 3, we see Georgia guzzling down milk directly from jars, indicating that she might be expecting in reality. The speculation stems from her words earlier in the season when she talked about her pregnancy cravings to Ginny when she supported her daughter through the abortion. Georgia told Ginny that throughout her own pregnancies, she craved nothing but milk. As she was seen doing the same by the end of season 3, it can be guessed that she is expecting a baby.
That, however, makes the audience ask a bigger question: who is the father of the baby? Among all of Georgia’s suitors, the answer boils down to two men – Joe or Paul.
While Georgia’s dynamics with both men differ starkly, it remains to be seen what way the show runners take the story in the fourth season. For those unversed, Ginny and Georgia season 4 was confirmed back in May 2023 itself.
Showrunners debated the identity of Georgia’s baby daddy in the beginning
While Georgia’s pregnancy is more or less confirmed by the end of the third season, Ginny & Georgia showrunner Sarah Glinski and creator Sarah Lampert had something interesting to add. During an interview with ScreenRant, Lampert shared that they debated over the identity of the father of the child when they were writing the ending of season 3 itself.

She shared that while their writers are well-versed with the Ginny and Georgia universe, they initially had some doubts about whom they’d attribute the role of Georgia’s (played by Brianne Howey) latest baby’s father. Lampert shared,
Glinski and I entered the writer’s room this season and said, ‘We know who the dad is. We know whose baby it is. Change our mind.’ And then we spent a full day just debating whose baby this was, what the stories could be for each version, and had a really robust conversation.
Nevertheless, their initial conviction dwindled, and they ended up debating the topic. However, at the end, Lampert shared that they stuck with their initial plan. Moreover, their dilemma (followed by their debates) improved the ending of season 3.
Thus, while we still have to wait for another season to finally get to know more about Georgia’s pregnancy, one thing is certain – that the show is moving toward a dramatic direction. As the audience, we will just have to believe in the Ginny and Georgia makers’ creative vision.
Ginny and Georgia season 3 and the first two seasons are currently available to stream on Netflix in the USA.
