HUNDREDS of eager shoppers turned out for the opening of Scotland’s first MINISO store.
After years of fans calling for its arrival, the lifestyle retailer finally brings its iconic range of affordable and trendy product to Edinburgh‘s Princes Street.
And the firm’s boss revealed that more Scottish store will be opening this year.
The store offers MINISO’s signature mix of fun and collectable products, from cuddly plush toys and licensed favourites like Hello Kitty and Friends, and Pokemon to everyday essentials across beauty, homeware, tech and snacks.
MINISO’s Chief Operating Officer Saad Usman said: “We are really excited to be here on Princes Street and I think the queues outside are telling us the people are excited too.
“There’s several more stores in Scotland to come this year.
“There’s something for everyone, whether it’s food, electronics, beauty, there really is something for someone of every age.
“We really hope Scottish Sun readers find some time to pay us a visit, it truly is a work-of-art what they’ve done here.”
To celebrate the opening, the first 400 customers received a special goody bag valued at £25.
The new Edinburgh store follows a string of successful UK openings as MINISO continues to grow its presence across the UK.
Saad added: “Scotland has been on our wishlist for a long time – we’ve had so many requests from Scottish fans asking us to bring MINISO here, so we’re thrilled to finally open our doors in Edinburgh.
