It might be time to accept I owe the new Love Island USA bombshells an apology for thinking they wouldn’t come crashing in, disrupting every bit of peace in the villa. Day 9 of Season 7 introduced a fresh batch of bombshells- Jose “Pepe” Garcia, Iris Kendall, and Jalen Brown. The newcomers didn’t simply stroll in; they shook the entire island to its core.
While we were quick to dismiss the new entries as boring wildcards, in just a few days, they proved that audiences couldn’t have been more wrong. It’s safe to say each of the male bombshells, once considered plain and boring in comparison to their female counterparts in previous seasons, has particularly shaken the narrative. This turn in audience perspective is a result of emotional betrayals, unlikely pairings, and so much more.
The new Love Island USA bombshells have cranked up the heat
Pepe and Jalen were the first of Day 9’s 3 bombshells to make their entrance, stepping onto the villa’s Leather & Lace party floor. The bombshells, introduced by Ariana Maddix, were thrown into a spicy game of “Kiss and Tell”, which was, no doubt, quick to shake things up (via Screen Rant).
The bombshells kissed every female cast member, while the women remained restrained against X-shaped boards. The naughty game definitely stirred up trouble in multiple couples’ lives, including Amaya and Ace, who have had a somewhat complicated relationship already.
During the ongoing challenge, when Amaya kissed Jalen, Ace was seen reacting to the ordeal by laughing, which led to Amaya leaving the scene. This was seen as a disrespectful move on Ace’s part when he had recently ‘betrayed’ Amaya with his manipulative antics.
Fans have even started shipping Amaya with bombshell Pepe after recent events, given his calm and composed attitude. Some of Amaya and Pepe’s interactions have already caught the audience’s eye, and they were quick to express interest (and votes) in the two becoming a couple and Amaya staying in the villa. And, honestly? I see the appeal.
Jalen, on the other hand had his intentions very clear right from the start and was ballsy enough to practically warn islander Taylor Williams to get out of his way as he tried to pursue his partner, Olandria Carthen. Jalen remarked:
I’m here for Olandria because she’s beautiful. She’s from the south, and I’m from the south, and I think we can make a connection.
It’s clear the new bombshells are not wasting much time when it comes to establishing connections, and I am here for all the drama that brings with it.
Love Island USA may see more fallouts in existing couples
There was already some pre-existing tension between pairs. Amaya and Ace were not doing good with Ace manipulating her into thinking that she was asking for too much instead of taking responsibility for his impulsive decisions. Ace even publicly kissed Chelley Bissainthe in front of Amaya and Chelley’s partner, Austin (via Soap Central).
While things seem to be peaceful among other couples like Taylor & Olandria, and Hannah & Charlie, the new bombshells could be a possible threat to the peace and quiet. With Jalen already having voiced out his intentions to go after Olandria for a possible connection, we might be in for potential trouble in Taylor and Olandria’s paradise.
Things are also a little dicey with Huda Mustafa and Jeremiah Brown, who, although they are an established couple, have had some sort of a complicated journey on the show, and have recently been dealing with some lingering tension post-Huda’s confession about being a mom.
All this drama, and it’s only been 2 days since the bombshells joined the islanders. I absolutely stand with every fan apologising for labelling the new male bombshells as “boring” right after their entry, because they clearly have what it takes to shake every single couple up in this season of Love Island USA.
