I made over my basic grey bathroom in a weekend using Shein buys – my ‘panel wall’ was easy with a £28 B&Q buy

IN THE UK, installing a new bathroom will typically set you back anywhere from £5,000 to an eye-watering £10,000.

But now one thrifty woman has revealed how she spruced up hers for a fraction of the cost – and the epic glow-up has left people with their jaws on the floor.

The money-smart DIY fan used affordable bargains from B&Q and Shein[/caption]

Money-smart Jolene Miller took to Facebook where she shared the list of purse-friendly bargains she used for the transformation.

Before the fabulous makeover, the bathroom looked pretty simple and plain, featuring grey walls, white tiles and light grey flooring.

However, with the help of affordable items from popular retailers she managed to give it a totally brand new look – and the web users are going wild.

As well as painting the walls white – which instantly made the space appear larger – Jolene applied a stunning panel wall which she had snapped up from B&Q.

The Superfresco Easy Wood effect Smooth Wallpaper set her back just £28 and was a cheap alternative to the panelling trend which has taken the internet by storm.

What’s more, not only is it a more affordable option, but the wallpaper is also easier to set up – making it the perfect option for those who haven’t done many DIY projects.

The gorgeous paint – Dulux Easycare Jasmine white Soft sheen Emulsion paint – can also be purchased at B&Q, where a 2.5l pot will cost you £28.

Rather than forking out for brand new radiators – which sell for anywhere from £50 to almost £300 – Jolene spruced up the existing ones with black chalk paint (£12 from B&Q and online mega retailer Amazon).

The savvy woman also used the same paint to give her bath panel a new look – and it created the perfect balance in the bathroom.

Jolene also told fellow members of the popular DIY On A Budget Official page that she used ”a vinyl roll in herringbone from the local carpet shop” to cover the existing tiles.

To complete the epic makeover, the money-smart DIY fan added the final touches with numerous accessories, such as pampas grass, vase holders, towel holders and more, which she had ordered from Shein.

Chuffed with the transformation, she wrote in the post: ”Done a mini make over in our bathroom this weekend, pleased with the results.”

‘Fantastic job, looks amazing!’

Since being posted online, the transformation has taken Facebook by storm, racking up close to 120 likes.
