Actor Jonathan Majors is widely known for portraying Kang the Conqueror in MCU’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and appeared as another variant of the character in Loki. Majors rose to fame after he starred in The Last Black Man in San Francisco, followed by his appearance in Da 5 Bloods, Lovecraft Country, The Harder They Fall, Devotion, and others.

The actor was sentenced to a 52-week Domestic Violence Intervention Program after he was convicted of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment in December 2023. He was arrested in March 2023 after an alleged domestic violence altercation with his then-girlfriend. After he was convicted of misdemeanor counts, Jonathan Majors was dropped by MCU, but now he’s willing to make a return.
Jonathan Majors expresses his desire to make an MCU return
Actor Jonathan Majors was at the peak of his career when he was arrested in March 2023 on the charges of assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault, and harassment. In December 2023, the jury found him guilty of recklessly assaulting, harassing, and injuring his then-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.
In April 2024, according to a Business Insider report, Judge Michael Gaffey of New York City Criminal Court announced that he would not be sending Majors to jail. Instead, he was sentenced to attend a 52-week in-person domestic violence program. He also announced that if Majors fails to attend the program and continue therapy, he could face up to a year in jail.
Now, Jonathan Majors is looking forward to the release of his long-halted movie Magazine Dreams. In a recent interview with EW, he shared that he’s hopeful about his comeback.

Talking about comebacks, Majors was asked if he’d be willing to make a return to the MCU, which dropped him after his conviction. The publication also asked the actor if he’s up to re-teaming with Michael B. Jordan, who has already mentioned that he’d be open to teaming up with Majors.
Jonathan Majors said,
Yes. The version of me that would come back to those places, though, would be different. I don’t think anything different would happen between ‘action’ and ‘cut.’ That’s why I got the job. But there would be something different about it if I were to come back.
The actor, however, noted that his return to the Marvel or Creed franchise is not in his control. Jonathan Majors, in a separate interview with USA Today, was asked if Marvel calls him back to play Kang the Conqueror, would he say yes? To which the actor said, of course, he’d say yes and added that he loves them. He went on to add,
Tom Hiddleston, loved working with that guy. Loved working with Paul Rudd. Loved working with Gugu Mbatha-Raw. I love the industry so much, and now I’m in a place where I can feel the love from them and actually express my love for them.
Jonathan Majors explained that for a long time, he had the mindset that if he did something well, people would love him. However, he went on to add that if he gives everything he’s got in preparation in between action and cut, there is no way people will not love him.
Now he noted that he’s got enough confidence in himself, and he’s ready to give all of himself to the character he’s set to play.
Jonathan Majors talks about his passion for acting ‘growing’ in the past two years
The actor who is set on making his comeback after two years was asked during an interview with USA Today about his acting and how the past two years have affected his passion for acting. He said he has grown in the process over the past two years with everything, and as for his acting, Majors noted that it has not changed but grown.
I don’t want to spook anybody, but I’ve dedicated my life to this. Outside of my family and my God, this is what I’ve dedicated it to, and now I am coming back to it with more understanding. And with more understanding, I have an even bigger appetite.
Talking about his upcoming movie Magazine Dreams, in which he plays Killian Maddox, Majors shared that he had to grow a lot to match his character. The actor is now taking that growth and is looking forward to applying that to hopefully the next 20 years of his career.

Jonathan Majors added that he understands that the future is not in his control, but the fire in him to create and shed light and heal through the work is bigger. He had mentioned that he had to sacrifice a lot to build his career the way it was and now after two years hiatus, he is working to be in a place where he’s capable of speaking to the film at the level that it deserves.
Magazine Dreams is set to release on March 21, 2025.
