MARKS & SPENCER have released their new spring/ summer collection and it is every bit as good as you would hope.
In the past two years M&S have come on leaps and bounds with their clothing, reaching a younger audience, having multiple viral pieces.

Here, Fabulous’ fashion editor, Clemmie, reveals what is likely to go viral next[/caption]
They’ve had success with £19.50 one-shoulder T-shirt, their nylon quilted bags, £35, that sold out immediately when it first hit shelves.
Plus their brown loafers, a dupe of a YSL pair, also sold out – but we’re told will be back in April in new colourways.
The brand hit £13billion in its most recent financial year and its strongest financial performance since 1997 and is now one of, if not the, strongest brand on the high street as shoppers turn their backs on the likes of Zara who can’t be relied on for quality or size consistency.
Elevated everyday looks are at the heart of this range, the kind of pieces where you hear yourself gasp and say “I love that”.
Full of pieces you’d see it on your cool mate who always has the trendiest clobber wearing, or an influencer – but more importantly you’d also see it on yourself.
And that’s why they’ve called their new campaign “Love That” that features the noughties catchy hit, 1 Thing by Amerie.

Thanks to viral moments online M&S have seen sales soar[/caption]
Social media has played a huge part in the popularity of Marks & Sparks.
Customers hit stores on a weekly basis revealing the stock availability of certain items to their personal community, sharing new-in buys and posting on designer dupes.
And word spreads like wildfire.
Their TikTok account has 87.5K followers, which is a lot but not huge, however “Marks and Spencer Clothes” has 16.3million posts on the social media platform, “Marks and Spencers” has 36.9M and “M&S Jeans” has 198.3million.
By gaining huge cult status online with Gen-Z and millennial users who make up the majority of the audience on TikTok and love sharing their M&S buys they’re reached a new generation of loyal customers who aren’t just there for bras, knickers and cashmere cardigans.
The Fabulous’ fashion team got an early sneak peak at the new range and have picked their favourite new-in items.
Here, Clemmie Fieldsend, reveals the 7 pieces that you should be snapping up this week before they sell out.
THE JEANS

Marks & Spencer denim is a fan favourite, but this on-trend barrel style is one of their best yet.[/caption]
M&S have made great strides when it comes to their denim, updating skinny and mom jeans with more trend lead styles like their sell-out Carrot jeans and palazzo denims, plus demand for their boot and wide leg jeans are up 135 per cent.
This has helped them secure an 18 per cent market share in women’s denim – it’s highest ever – and now are the market leader.
This barrel silhouette is bang on trend for this year and the best it?
They’re extremely comfortable and flattering on all body-shapes.
THE TRENCH
Last season M&S had a suede trench, £350, that was so popular it sold out twice, so they’ve done another one for spring that’s much lower in price.
The timeless wardrobe staple has been revamped for warmer climates and thankfully with a new £89 price tag that we predict will bring them the same sell-out effect.

Following the success of their sell-out trench last year, they’re back with a new style[/caption]
THE BAG
Marks & Spencer know what they’re doing when it comes to accessories and this season is no exception.
Perennial print, leopard, isn’t showing signs of going anywhere and this wristlet bag is brilliant for women who want to be hands free.
This will keep your outfit looking and feeling unique for popping down to your local or wearing to a wedding.

THE CO-ORD

The Per Una two-piece with eyelet detailing is one of our must-haves[/caption]
A gorgeous brown two-piece from Per Una with eyelet studs is bound to be extremely popular, but there’s a catch.
It is £299 for the shit and £149 for the skirt.
But with M&S you know you’re getting a product that will last you years and years and something that is hugely versatile.
Plus, M&S have seen success with high ticket items like their 2023 silver trousers and then 2024’s gold pair that were both £199 and quickly sold out – so act fast.

THE JACKET:
The Utility Jacket, £65, featured in the Love That campaign was accidentially released last week.
A very happy accident for M&S as it went viral creating hysteria on where to by the must-have item that was only available in store.
But good news, it will be available to buy online from now.

Mark your calendars, the viral utility jacket is available to buy online this week[/caption]
THE SKIRT
Boho has made a big return to the catwalk at brands like Chloe and is now in your local Marks.
Paired with all the luxury suedes and suedettes they have instore and this delicate lace maxi skirt with a sheer mini skirt underneath and you’ll have the perfect boho look.
It’s tiered structure creates an impactful outfit, without the need for garish colour and prints.

THE SHOES
Woven ballet pumps are the adult version of a jelly shoe – and for spring summer they are a must have.
M&S’ pair, £45, in red or black, look designer without the hefty price tag and will texture and depth to even the plainest of outfits.
They also have the brand’s signature ‘Insolia Flex’ soles, which essentially means they are so incredibly comfy you can wear them all day and all night and still feel like you’re in your slippers.

…AND THERE IS AN OCCASIONWEAR LINE COMING:
They also aim to grow their occasion wear following success last year with sales up 22 per cent more than predicted.
Their occasion capsule will range from £70 – £140, trouncing rivals like Mango who launched their occasion capsule last week available from £60 to a staggering £380, and will be filled with premium fabrics and elevated silhouettes for stand-out looks for weddings, races and for holidays.
