Separately, gardai confirmed today that two bodies were discovered in Co Kerry.
Gardai say they are “investigating all circumstances” following the find of the man and woman, both believed to be in their 50s, at a house in Glenbeigh.
The scene has been preserved and an examination by the Garda Technical Bureau is taking place.
It is understood that the bodies may have lain undiscovered in the house since late last year.
The two bodies remain at the scene, pending preliminary technical examination, and will be removed for a post-mortem examination.
Gardai confirmed that the course of their investigation will depend on the results of the post-mortem examination.
