Mufasa: The Lion King actor Kelvin Harrison, who is the voice actor for the character of Taka, is a pivotal thread in the story. During an exclusive all-cast interview with People Magazine, Kelvin Harrison “brags” about having Beyoncé as his co-star. Beyoncé has given her voice to the character of Nala, who holds a small screen presence in the 2024 film.

Nala’s character is defined as the queen of the ‘Pride Lands’ as she is Simba’s mate. Gushing over sharing the screen with Beyoncé, Kelvin Harrison remarked:

“Beyoncé’s the queen. I love her so much. I feel like that’s very well known — even Beyoncé probably knows at this point how much I love her. It’s very cool to be able to brag and say that she’s my costar.”

Despite having a minuscule role in Mufasa: The Lion King, the legendary singer and actress Beyoncé was thrilled to see her daughter, Kiara Carter, debut in the movie as the character of Blue Ivy, Simba, and Nala’s daughter.

Mufasa: The Lion King will be available to stream on Disney+ from March 26, 2024.
