While kids wanting to emulate their parents isn’t out of the norm, especially in Hollywood, it’s always so dang sweet to hear about. In fact, Hannah Waddingham just gave super-rare details about how her daughter is already turning into her mini-me; and how she’s preparing her for the reality of acting.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, it was reported that her daughter just starred in a school production of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
“She feels such a sense of vitality from that, which I love, but I just want her to know that for 22 years I would be on stage thinking, ‘Am I going to make the last Tube?’ ” Waddingham said about her daughter loving acting, and how she wants her daughter to know it’s a challenging, long road. “I need her to be aware that I really grafted for 22 years. Life is not being picked up by a black Mercedes.”
We love a parent that not only encourages their kids to follow their dreams, but reminds them it’s all about hard work. Louder for the people in the back!

For those who don’t know, Waddingham and her ex Gianluca Cugnetto welcomed a daughter in 2014, specifically around Waddingham’s birthday.
In a previous interview with SheKnows, the Ted Lasso alum revealed how her daughter is involved in her career.
“But I’m learning to feel pride in my work and that can only be a positive thing to teach my daughter — just as I saw my mother working, my daughter now sees me, and so it continues,” she said.
