Kumasi-based Pure FM is reporting that the National Investigative Bureau has released former National Service Authority (NSA) Director-General Osei Assibey Antwi.
The media report said he was released on March 22, 2025, three days after he was detained.
His release comes after several reports highlighted concerns about his health while in custody.
Osei Assibey arrived at his Accra residence at approximately 10:28 PM, where he was received by his family.
Pure FM is reporting that after he was released, he told his family “I haven’t experienced anything like this before”.
The National Investigation Bureau (NIB) is investigating the previous leadership of the National Service Authority (NSA) in a payroll fraud case.
The NIB has in the past detained the two Deputies of the NSA prior to the invitation of Osei Assibey.
