The Evangelists might be the so-called bad guys in Fire Force‘s storyline, but still, each member in their organization is pretty cool in some sense. Haumea being the mastermind (as it seems), Sister Sumire’s dark truth, Sho’s tragic past, and even the other Pillars are somewhat okay to get by with. However, there’s one character whom it’s impossible not to hate.
No matter how the plot tries to convince us, it never sits well to just say Inca is crazy for thrills. Of course, there’s her past that we saw previously that made everyone’s blood boil, but that’s not all. The person she’s truly becoming with each episode is getting more and more unbearable to watch. And the sad part is that there’s no sign of her getting better.
Inca’s presence makes it hard to watch Fire Force!

Whenever Inca comes on screen, things get really iffy, making it hard to even watch the episode. Let alone the fact that she’s one of the 8 Pillars, there’s not a single good thing to say about her. From the very moment she was introduced back in season 2, it was made clear how pathetic her character is.
She claims to be a thrill-seeker, but in reality, she’s just a crazy sociopath. All she does is wish to see people die, be it her, other Evangelists, or anyone else. This, however, makes her ability to predict spontaneous combustion suitable for her character. But that’s not an excuse she can get by with.

Fans lost hope in her when she brutally betrayed her friends and even toasted Panda just for the sake of the thrill. The story tries to present her as some crazy maniac who loves seeing people suffer, but they never tell us why she’s like that. Which is why the whole fandom agrees she’s the worst character in the series.
The more you hate a character, the better-written they actually are!
There’s a saying that goes along with the above subheading, but in the case of Fire Force‘s Inca, this doesn’t really hold true. Usually, hate is considered a very strong emotion that viewers feel when watching certain characters from a series.
There, the more you hate them, that means the more you’re actually thinking about them, which is a good narrative thing.

But Fire Force proves to us that it may not always be the case. Inca is just straight-up hopeless. Fans don’t hate her because she takes pleasure in seeing people die; they hate her because there’s nothing interesting about her character. Even in the latest episode 10 of season 3, we got to see Inca, and as usual, she appeared equally helpless.
It’s a shame because her character design is quite unique, and pink-haired girls generally are some of the well-written characters in other series, but Fire Force actually goes against that norm. It’s not possible for her to go back to being a normal human being, so as fans, our misery is just going to continue until she’s dead!
Fire Force Season 3 is currently airing on Crunchyroll.
