Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are set to make some huge changes to their respective squad for next season.
Chiefs are preparing for their first season in Africa with Nasreddine Nabi, while Pirates start life without Jose Riveiro.
Chiefs and Pirates known to compete for same players
With that, it’s imperative for both Soweto giants to attack the transfer market, in order to boost their squads. In previous windows it has been a common practice to see both Pirates and Chiefs in the same market. They were believed to be chasing the likes of Oswin Appollis. Furthermore, his Polokwane City teammate Thabang Matuludi, Chippa United star Sinoxolo Kwayiba too. The two clubs are also reported to be interested in Fawaaz Basadien, who Mamelodi Sundowns are eyeing too. The next player that the two clubs were thought to be battling for is Masindi Nemtajela of Marumo Gallants.
But not so long ago, another player that was a hot topic for both Chiefs and Pirates was Rowan Human. In the end, it was AmaZulu who walked away with the player’s signature, after meeting then Maritzburg United’s fee. But now according to iDiski Times, the two parties have decided to part ways.
Former target Human set to be a free agent!
“Rowan Human is set to become a free agent after not coming to an agreement with AmaZulu about extending his contract at the club. Human, 24, was an ever-present figure for Usuthu as they finished sixth in the league this season, scoring three goals with five assists from midfield. However, the club and former Beitar Jerusalem midfielder failed to agree terms on an extension and is now set to become a free agent, with several club’s already making contact over his services.” Wrote the publication.
