As Elizabeth Olsen hops back into the world of television, fans can look forward to her diving deep into ‘Seven Sisters‘ filming for an exciting period. What’s remarkable is that Olsen has mastered the art of fluidly transitioning between the small and big screens. Elizabeth Olsen and Sean Durkin’s reconciliation with Seven Sisters is sentimental, as both debuted in 2011 with Martha Marcy May Marlene, a psychological cult drama. The movie was Durkin’s feature directorial debut in which Olsen played the character of ‘Martha’ who received praise from critics. Seeing Olsen’s “vibrant” personality, Sean Durkin was convinced she would fit right into Martha’s character. (via realtalkreviews.com)

After a decade and a half, Olsen and Durkin will work together on FX’s upcoming TV series, Seven Sisters. The series revolves around a family witnessing an unusual happening. It is gearing up to introduce the audience to a new world of thrills and suspense. Olsen stars as one of the sisters, and her ability to hear voices no one else can listen to sets the ball rolling for revelations that the family might not be prepared for.

The series has been greenlit for its pilot project; therefore, not much is available about the rest of the cast, release date, or the underlying plot.

Elizabeth Olsen, aka Wanda Maximoff, has become synonymous with the Marvel Cinematic Universe with her character Scarlet Witch. Her last stint with Marvel was in the 2022 release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which was not a great way to say goodbye to her fans. Her character received a bitter ending, going into red ashes as she sets fire to Mount Wundagore.

With her character presumed dead, the fans were dejected, feeling almost betrayed to see Wanda’s fate. However, during a recent interview with Collider, she teased the fans with a possible comeback in the Marvel universe, but it might not be Wanda’s resurrection. She was grateful for the opportunity to get to play the character for a decade and said:

I do feel very lucky that I’ve been able to play a character for over 10 years of my life, and I’d love to keep doing more. But the animation thing, I feel like it’s a parallel world. I don’t really know how it intersects with what we do. But I’ve really enjoyed getting to play her over 10 years, and I continue to feel lucky that I have the opportunities I did, creatively.”

Olsen’s statement gives fans hope of seeing her back in the enigmatic Marvel Universe, but for now, they can eagerly wait for FX’s upcoming TV series Seven Sisters to air soon.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is available to watch on Disney+.
