After news broke of Tiger Woods and Donald Trump Jr’s ex-wife, Vanessa Trump‘s new relationship, insiders leaked his alleged phone call between Woods and his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, which was all about her reaction to the dating news.
In details obtained by DailyMail, a pal of the two revealed details about the phone call, including how Nordegren allegedly feels about the new romance.
“Tiger knew it was going to get out eventually so he had to make the phone call to Elin before his love life ended up in the newspapers again. He’s made this call before about other women — but never like this,” they said about the allegedly awkward phone call.
“It was a pleasant, almost friendly conversation. Tiger and Elin are supportive of each other,” they added. “Her response at first was like ‘Seriously? A Trump? For real?’ She was more amused than anything. But she really quickly just accepted it.”
Now, the insider alleged that the phone call was more on the pleasant side, and it was more about Woods letting Nordegren know that he’s dating her, and that she’s with their two kids quite a bit.
“They’re not the type to give each other their ‘blessing’ per se, but they keep each other in the loop with anyone who is going to spend any amount of time around the kids,” they added. “She likes the kids; they like her. So there was really no reason for any drama with Elin. It was more of a call so she didn’t learn about it in the news.”
For those who don’t know, Woods and his ex-wife, Nordegren, first met in 2001 through mutual friends. They married in 2004, but divorced in 2010 once Woods’ affairs came to life. During their marriage, they welcomed two children together during their time together: a daughter named Sam Alexis Woods, born in 2007, and a son named Charlie Axel Woods, born in 2009.
As many know, Woods and Vanessa are an item. While the details of how they met, or how their relationship is is up in the air, we do know a few things.
Woods and her ex-father-in-law Donald have reportedly been buddies for decades as well (and yes, they play golf together a lot). And in 2019, Trump even gave him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, per Nicki Swift. So, either Vanessa and Woods met during one of Woods and Donald’s golfing hangouts, or through their kids. Turns out, their kids go to the local Benjamin School, where Vanessa’s daughter Kai is a skilled golfer. It’s unclear how they met, but one thing’s for sure: they seem like an ideal match, both personality-wise and geographically.
