Some eagle-eyed fans spotted bizarre references to Aberdeen FC in the four-part drama, including a large coffee mug with the club’s crest and various other subtle links to the Granite City side too.
The Netflix drama follows Snatch and Gangs of New York actor Graham who’s the father of 13-year-old Jamie Miller – played by Owen Cooper – who’s arrested by police on suspicion of killing one of his classmates.
All four episodes were remarkably filmed in one take – similar to Graham’s role in Boiling Point as he linked up with director Philip Barantini once again.
The story follows young Jamie trying to prove his innocence as shocking truths come to light during police questioning and more details on the murder emerge.
It’s told through the eyes of the 13-year-old, his family and friends, and it provides an alternative perspective on youth violence and knife crime.
It also provides some bizarre Easter Eggs relating to the Dons throughout, which footie fans were quick to pick up on.
Aberdeen-born Douglas Russell played a cop named Victor in the drama and he wasn’t shy in displaying his love for the Pittodrie side whenever he was on screen.
Victor was initially spotted drinking from an Aberdeen FC mug and footie fans were quick to point it out on social media.
Replying to posts showing him holding the bug during the programme, the Scottish actor wrote on X: “My work here is done. COYR!!”
He also gave fans a sneak peek of other Aberdeen references he helped display throughout the show.
He shared a picture of an Aberdeen figurine which he brought along to the set and there appeared to be a whiteboard with the words “Stand Free” written on it too.
Elsewhere, there was a link to Walker McCall – the Dons striker who spent six years at the club across two spells.
