GARDAI seized 29 plush cars worth up to €600,000 after they swooped on a business this morning as they targeted a major organised crime gang.
The vehicles – which included top brands like Mercedes, BMW, Audi and Volkswagen – were taken from a dealership in south Dublin.

Investigators say further evidence relating to drugs related money-laundering and fraud offences were seized.
Further freezing orders have been placed on company accounts, including on €200,000 suspected to be the proceeds of crime.
There was a large garda presence at the business as cops loaded the cars onto lorries.
Other houses and businesses were raided in the capital and Longford as part of the probe.
It is the latest operation mounted against a south Dublin mob over the past 13 months.
A source said: “This gang are significant players in the drug trade in south Dublin.
“They are using their dirty money to launder through businesses but also to buy expensive clothes and so on.
“Business accounts will now be forensically examined as will other documents seized.
“The gardai have now delivered a series of blows against them in just over a year and are well on top of them.”
A garda spokesman said: “A total of 29 vehicles were seized this morning, Thursday 20th March 2025 from a business in South County Dublin, as was evidence relating to drugs related money-laundering, and fraud offences. Further freezing orders have been placed on company accounts, freezing circa €200,000 suspected to be the proceeds of crime.
“The estimated value of the vehicles seized is between €500,000 and €600,000.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
Gardai attached to Terenure Divisional Drugs Unit, supported by the Serious Crime units in Terenure, Crumlin and Sundrive Road and the Tallaght and Sundrive Road Divisional Drugs Units, assisted by the DMR South Scenes of Crime, Roads Policing Units and STOC were involved in the searches.
The same gang were hit in February 2024, when 37 homes and businesses were searched with €3.1m worth of drugs nabbed, along with €353,000 in cash, and the freezing over of €280,000 in bank accounts.
Eight cars worth €200,000 were seized as evidence of money laundering and proceeds of crime as was jewellery, designer watches, electronic devices, laptops, and smartphones.
Three months later, in May last year, cops raided 38 homes and three businesses and took away €263,500 in cash with three cars and a motorcycle.
Bank drafts for €40,000, deeds for three Spanish properties and two cash counting machines were also seized along with further expensive designer gear.
