The couple was regarded as Hollywood’s IT couple, and despite going their separate ways, the two of them have maintained love and respect for each other over the years.
The actress shared with Howard Stern in 2018 that Pitt had confronted producer and convicted s*x offender Harvey Weinstein after he made an unwanted sexual advance towards her. Paltrow and Pitt got engaged in 1996 only to break up after a few months. In 2015, the actress recalled the reason they had decided to go their separate ways during a conversation with Howard Stern (via Page Six);
I think I was a kid, and I wasn’t ready. He was too good for me. I honestly do think I was too young and didn’t know what I was doing. I mean, I was 22 when we met, and it’s taken me until 40 to get my head out of my ass. You can’t make a decision when you’re 22 years old.
Upon her appearance on the Call Her Daddy interview, Gwyneth Paltrow admits that she was totally heartbroken when they broke up, adding that it was the right thing at the time, but it was really hard.
Despite their breaking up, the two actors never had any sort of animosity between them and have always appreciated each other. She shared with Alex Cooper while looking back at her experience of being in a high-profile relationship with Brad Pitt.

Paltrow went on to marry Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin in 2003, and the two of them separated in 2016. She later married television writer and director Brad Falchuk in 2018. The actress shares two kids with Martin: Apple and Moses.
As for Brad Pitt, he was married to Jennifer Aniston from 2000 to 2005 and then to Angelina Jolie, who he started seeing in 2005 and got married to in 2014. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Gwyneth Paltrow once again looked back at her high-profile relationship with Brad Pitt and noted that he is an intriguing character. The actress who will be seen in Josh Safdie’s sports drama Marty Supreme alongside Timothée Chalamet shared with the publication,
It’s like having dated; I don’t know Prince William or something. That’s always going to come up.
The actress and Goop founder shared that Pitt at the time visited her on the set for her birthday while an individual made her feel like she was the most entitled person. Paltrow recalled that it was such a horrible feeling and went on to say that she had already envisioned that the producer would craft a story that she was being difficult.
But Gwyneth Paltrow shared she did not say anything at the time because she could tell that the guy with the power was like, ‘I don’t like what I’m seeing here.’
The actress shared with the publication that she has no love regrets, noting that she really embraces the roads she’s taken, and she never goes back and noodles about her choices.
