Tesco is selling a 75p buy that gets rid of condensation and mould instantly & stops wet windows

FINDING condensation and mould in your home is not ideal.

Not only does it look unsightly, it can be dangerous as well.

A home expert has shared how to prevent mould and condensation[/caption]

The NHS states if you have damp and mould in your home you’re more likely to have respiratory problems, respiratory infections, allergies or asthma.

Damp and mould can also affect the immune system.

Trying to get rid of mould is no easy task and there are plenty of pricey products that swear to banish the problem.

But one expert has revealed you don’t need to spend a fortune to clean up mould and condensation.

According to Scott Evans from Pink Storage: “Mould thrives in damp environments, and salt is a natural moisture absorbent.”

He suggests that salt can serve as an effective, chemical-free solution to combat mould, a method that many may not have considered

Scott explained how salt works: “Salt absorbs moisture in your home through a process called osmosis, which you may remember from your time in school.”

By drawing out water from the mould, you effectively stop its ability to spread.

Plus, salt possesses mild antimicrobial properties, making it an excellent option for preventing mould’s return.

“Many people store belongings in damp areas like basements or garages without realising they are storing their items where mould can grow,” Scott warned.

Simple table salt can stop mould in its tracks[/caption]

Mould thrives by producing tiny particles called spores – these are airborne and can spread quickly in your home.

Condensation forms when warm, moist air comes in contact with a cold surface, such as a window, which can lead to water droplets.

Salt, however, can stop this process because it is a natural desiccant and can draw moisture from the air.

This means it diminishes condensation and dampness and locks excess water into the salt.

Cleaning hacks and tips

Here are some tips to help you clean your home like a pro:

Placing bowls of salt along the window or in damp places in your home can stop condensation and prevent mould growing.

And it can be used to kill mould that has already grown.

First wipe away any excess moisture on affected surfaces with a dry cloth, then generously sprinkle table salt over the mould and let it work overnight.

The salt will draw moisture from the mould, breaking it down effectively.

To keep your home protected, you can mix two spoons of salt with warm water and use a clean cloth to wipe it over the walls.

It creates a thin protective layer to discourage mould growth but needs to be repeated once a month.

Thankfully, the handy tricks are super cheap to buy as well as you can buy a pot of table salt from Tesco for as little as 75p.

Strictly’s Craig Revel Horwood shares VERY rare snap with lookalike brother Trent in Australia

STRICTLY Come Dancing’s Craig Revel Horwood has shared a very rare snap with his lookalike brother Trent in Australia.

The 60-year-old TV star took to social media to pose next to his brother during his trip Down Under.

The straight-talking star turned 60 last month[/caption]

Standing in a bright shirt with watermelons on, with a drink in one hand and another arm over his brother, Craig penned: “Catching up with my brother Trent in Sydney.”

Trent could be seen standing beside his famous brother, as he flashed a smile at the camera.

He donned a dark shirt and looked in good spirits as he and his Strictly star brother posed with the Australian city in the background.

Craig playfully added two beer emojis to the snap.

The BBC star also shared a photo on the beach with family, as he enjoyed summer in Australia.

Craig penned: “Reunited at long last on the NSW coastline,” and stood in a t-shirt that read “unimpressed,” alongside some bright shorts.

It comes as the straight-talking star, who turned 60 last month, backed professional dancer Giovanni Pernice following a misconduct probe which cast a shadow on the 2024 series.

He has addressed the scandal which was sparked after the Italian’s former show partner Amanda Abbington, 50, issued a complaint about his behaviour in training.

Amanda told the Lorraine show she had flagged concerns about the Italian’s conduct on the very first week.

A BBC report upheld six allegations against him but cleared him of any serious claims.

Craig was appointed a Strictly judge back in 2004, when the show first aired.

In December he spoke out to back Giovanni – who won Italy’s version of Strictly last year.

He told Saga Magazine: “It says a lot that only six minor complaints out of the 17 were upheld in the BBC’s investigation [into Giovanni’s alleged bullying].

“So, I feel now we can move forward with a fresh approach.

“The good thing to come out of a difficult situation was the introduction of chaperones to Strictly.

“It’s great that now professionals and celebrities have someone to go to for advice and to resolve issues and conflicts before they become a problem.

“Striving for gold is never easy but gold is what competitors want, don’t they?

“At the same time, Strictly’s not the Olympics. It’s a dance show and it’s entertainment. We shouldn’t forget that.”

Sir Alex Ferguson looks disgusted as he watches Man Utd fall apart at Everton in disastrous first-half

And Ferguson looked absolutely frustrated after Everton took a two-goal lead in the first half

But United completely crumbled in the first 45 minutes as they foujnd themselves trailing after just 19 minutes with Beto’s opener.

And things got even worse on 33 minutes when Abdoulaye Doucoure doubled the Merseysiders lead.

That was when the TNT Sports camera zoomed in on Fergie who appeared to look very frustrated with the Red Devils’ display.

United fans noticed their legendary gaffer’s “disgust” and stormed social media with their own complaints.

One supporter tweeted: “That man Fergie looked disgusted.”

Another commented: “Look at Fergie bro he’s disgusted.”

A third wrote: “Fergie stop doing this to yourself man.”

And that one complained: “They’ve destroyed what Sir Alex built.”

This comes after Ferguson’s multi-million pound salary was ended in October by the new Ineos regime, who are devoted to cutting costs amid high losses.

The Scottish legend will be hoping for better luck in Saudi Arabia, where his horse will be competing.

Sir Alex’s horse Spirit Dancer will try to win back-to-back Neom Cups in a race worth £1.2million.
