For the second time in their respective careers, Kellen Moore and Brandon Staley will be on the same coaching staff, only this time it’s Moore in the big seat with Staley occupying what’s expected to be a more comfortable role of Defensive Coordinator for the New Orleans Saints. Though Staley’s hiring hasn’t been met with […]

Why Cavs’ Ty Jerome doesn’t view 37-point beatdown of Knicks as ‘statement’ win

The mantra for the Cleveland Cavaliers this season is simple: Consistency. On the other hand, the New York Knicks have shown flashes of brilliance but nothing too consistent. Despite the latter team being in third place in the Eastern Conference, the Cavs giving a 37-point beat down to the Knicks wasn’t a good look. However, […]

Image shows Daizen Maeda’s second Celtic goal vs Hibs ruled out by MILLIMETRES as Hoops star so close to double

CELTIC gave themselves an uphill battle in the second half of their clash against Hibs.

David Gray’s men got off to the perfect start when they went 1-0 up through Josh Campbell inside two minutes.

And things got worse for the Hoops as the midfielder doubled his side’s tally right before half time.

THREE half time subs were made by Brendan Rodgers and it proved to be the correct call as the away side pulled one back at Easter Road.

Daizen Maeda chased a stray ball into the six yard box and slotted past Jordan Smith.

And Celtic looked to have equalised with another Maeda goal after Alistair Johnston‘s crossed ball.

But VAR chalked it off after a lengthy check after concluding that the ball had gone out of play.

The full ball was deemed to have gone over the byline before Johnston’s pass into the middle of the box.

And it cut the Hoops’ celebrations short as they continued the search for the equalising goal.

But they were unable to get it after 98 minutes as they dropped three points in the Premiership.

And Rangers could cut the gap at the top to 10 points with a win over St Mirren at Ibrox in the later kick off this weekend.

The Gers are looking for their second win on the bounce after their shock defeat to Queen’s Park in the Scottish Cup a fortnight ago.

Meanwhile the Saints are hoping to win their first game in FOUR attempts after slumping to some bad form of late.

Man Utd ratings: Casemiro disappearing into irrelevance as Real Madrid legend saved again by Bruno Fernandes

MANCHESTER UNITED fought back from two goals down to draw against Everton at Goodison Park

The Red Devils were slammed as “embarrassing” by Rio Ferdinand after failing 2-0 down in the first half.

Manchester United were punished for a sluggish start as Beto beat the offside trap to fire the hosts ahead.

It got even worse for Amorim’s side as Abdoulaye Doucoure beat Harry Maguire to a rebound to head home.

Casemiro disappointed immensely for his 62 minutes of action before he was hooked for Alejandro Garnacho.

Bruno Fernandes did get Man United back into the game after a clever 71st-minute free kick from captain Bruno Fernandes.

The visitors then continued to push to gain a positive result from behind.

Manuel Ugarte was the man who volleyed home from outside the box in the 80th minute to level the score.

Amorim’s men were then lucky to escape a penalty in the final moments after VAR overturned the decision.

SunSport’s Ken Lawrence has given his ratings of the Manchester United team…

Andre Onana – 7

United needed him with his game-head on, and his 93rd-minute stop saved a point.

Noussair Mazraoui 69′ – 4

Looked seriously uncomfortable on the right side of the back three – forced there because of a defensive injury crisis

Harry Maguire – 4

Out-jumped by Doucoure as the midfielder grabbed Everton’s second and was generally all over the place.

Matthijs de Ligt – 4

Nowhere for Beto’s opener, completely missing attempted clearance and got away with a 93rd-minute penalty call.

Diogo Dalot – 5

At least shows willing. Which is more than could be said for some of his team mates at Goodison.

Manuel Ugarte – 7

Spent most of the game stranded in United’s midfield morass but salvation come with a brilliant strike.

Casemiro 62′ – 2

The Brazilian is beginning to look like the world’s oldest 32-year-old —he’s become a genuine irrelevance.

Patrick Dorgu – 6

Patrick Dorgu was a bright spark for the Red Devils[/caption]

Made a determined start down the left flank but that enthusiasm was slowly but surely sucked out of him.

Bruno Fernandes – 8

His free kick was genuine class and once he was dropped deeper started controlling the gamee.

Joshua Zirkzee – 4

At £36.5M you would expect an element of ball control but the Dutchman used as a joint No 10 just looks lost.

Rasmus Hojlund 69′ – 3

Rasmus Hojlund’s goal drought continues for Man United[/caption]

Not so much a desperate Dane, more a despairing one although it would help if he had some support.

Subs:

ALEJANDRO GARNACHO 62′ – 7

Injected some desperately needed pace and passion.

Leny Yoro 69′ – 6

Should have been on much earlier.

Chido Obi-Martin 69′ – 5

The 17-year-old has a presence for sure.

We’re living in fear of £7m ‘pod estate’ putting up CRIMINALS with balconies & parking spaces opposite kids’ play centre

WORRIED families have reacted angrily to plans to house “ex-convicts” and homeless people in pre-fab homes opposite a children’s centre.

The 12 Zed Pods – lego-style one bedroom apartments – are nearing completion in the deprived area of Knowle West in Bristol.

The Sun understands that the pods are being used to house criminals freed from jail, and not those on bail.

And with the prospect of the first occupants moving in within a few months, locals are questioning why the city council have put them up opposite the Knowle West Children’s Centre.

Single mother of four girls Rianne Hartrey, 38, said: “As if we haven’t got enough problems in this area already.

“It says on the information boards that they will house vulnerable people, but we’ve heard that many of them will be used to put ex-convicts up in.

“I know it’s not PC to say this but frankly I don’t want these criminals anywhere near my kids.

“Don’t get me wrong there are some dodgy locals around here but at least we know them and they realise that if they do anything we’ll come down on them like a ton of bricks.

“The reputation of Knowle West isn’t great and having these people living here will only make it worse.”

Retired cleaner Angela Salt, 69, said: “They wouldn’t think of putting this type of housing up and filling them with ex-convicts in the posh part of town, would they?

“But it seems the council is happy to dump all the rubbish on our doorstep – and they wonder why people get upset.

“I’ve got two grandchildren and like every other grandmother I don’t want them coming to any harm.

“We won’t know who will be put up in these homes and it’s a worry that we can do without around here.

“There is a children’s centre opposite those new flats which is used a lot from people all over south Bristol – I just think it’s very short-sighted to put children in potential danger from whoever might be housed in these flats.”

Decorator Paul Ridgeon, 48, said: “Whether it’s homeless or ex-convicts being put up there it’s wrong.

“They say they are going to house vulnerable people but there are plenty of vulnerable people in Knowle West and we should be looking after our own first.

“They claim to be social housing but I would like to know who will be using these flats because it will only cause tension if local people see outsiders getting preferential treatment over our own.”

But Megan King, 35, who uses the Knowle West Children’s Centre just a few yards from the building site, said she has no problem with the pods.

She said: “These people have to live somewhere and we should give them a chance of getting their lives back together whether they are ex-convicts for homeless people.

“The problem is that no-one wants them in their back yard but they have to go somewhere. If this is the answer then I’m all for it.”

The Zed Pods homes are described as being affordable zero-operational-carbon, energy-efficient homes which are “highly insulated” and triple-glazed, with solar roof panels.

Each apartment is occupied by a single household, with its own kitchen, bathroom and private balcony.

A Bristol Council spokesperson said: “The council is committed to using innovative solutions to help tackle the housing crisis and provide safe, sustainable and secure homes for everyone in the city.

“There will be 12 Zedpod factory built modular homes on this site, six of which will provide accommodation for people who are homeless.

“The other seven will be available for people on the housing register.

“The development is being funded in part by the Rough Sleeping Accommodation Programme, and in part by Right to Buy funds.”

Emma Raducanu makes decision on tennis future after terrifying stalker ordeal at Dubai Tennis Championships

EMMA RADUCANU is not planning to step away from tennis despite her stalker ordeal.

Britain’s tennis superstar, 22, was seen looking distraught when she landed in London after a scary incident with a “fixated” fan in Dubai.

Raducanu looked emotional and drained when she was reunited with her dad following the most traumatic week of her life.

Yet she plans to fly to the United States next week for scheduled appearances at the Indian Wells Open and then the Miami Open – two of the biggest tournaments on the calendar.

The former US Open champion does not want to take a break from competing – if anything, she is keen to get back on court as soon as possible.

It comes amid revelations that an obsessed individual had followed her from Singapore to the UAE twice and Qatar within the space of three weeks.

The tourist was arrested by Dubai Police when he turned up unexpectedly at her second-round defeat against Karolina Muchova on Tuesday.

The day before he had approached the world No.61 in a public area, handing her a note and asking for a photo.

Charges were later dropped by Raducanu but the man has signed a restraining order which states he must stay away from the Kent player – and he is banned from future WTA tennis events.

As she recovers with her family, Raducanu has changed the bio on her Instagram page – which has 2.6million followers – to “ad astra per aspera”.

This is a Latin phrase that means “to the stars through hardships”.

She broke her silence after the incident by posting on Instagram.

She wrote: “Thank you for the messages of support.

“Difficult experience yesterday but I’ll be okay and proud of how I came back and competed despite what happened at the start of the match.

“Thank you to Karolina for being a great sport and best of luck to her for the rest of the tournament.”

My daughter, 5, blew up my world with a single sentence, when she told me what our friend had down I was physically sick

THE Sunday that changed Michelle Milthorpe’s was just like any other.

It was October 2013 when her then five-year-old daughter crawled into Michelle’s bed and uttered a devastating confession.

Little Rose Milthorpe gently woke her mum up and said there was something important she needed to tell her.

She had no idea that what she said next would see their world come crashing down.

The little girl explained what a family friend Leon* had done to her and explained that she “didn’t like it”, News.com.au reports.

Now, speaking to Gary Jubelin on True Crime Australia’s I Catch Killers podcast, Michelle explained how her whole body went into shock after being told the unthinkable news.

“I went into professional mode and asked her if there was anything else he does that she didn’t like,” Michelle, a teacher from Albury, New South Wales, explained on the podcast.

“She went on to tell me a few other things that were going on that we had no knowledge of.

“I went downstairs to talk to my husband. I couldn’t even speak, it was like someone had just died.

“I actually vomited. I couldn’t speak.”

Rose later explained that her older sister, Pippa, who was eight at the time, told Rose that Leon “shouldn’t do that”.

It was when she spoke to Pippa the following morning  that the full extent of Leon’s abuse was revealed.

“Her entire demeanour changed. I hadn’t used names or any information, just that. She withdrew into herself and got her pillow and put it over her face.

“I got the pillow and she had a tear rolling down.”

The mum said that Pippa wasn’t comfortable talking about her feelings, but asked her to write down if something was happening that she did not like.

Her daughter wrote ‘yes’ and acknowledged that something was happening to her too.

I couldn’t even speak, it was like someone had just died

Michelle Millthorpe

Michelle also has a conversation with her older daughter, Maggie, who was 10 at the time, who said she had no knowledge of what she was talking about.

Leon* and his wife had been good family friends for a number of years, with Michelle admitting they were like ‘grandparents’ to the girls.

Upon confronting him, he denied all allegations against him, blasting them as “ridiculous”.

The first police interview took place the following month in November 2013 and Leon was charged later that month.

It wasn’t until two and a half years later that the family finally got their day in court.

How to report a sexual assault

After a distressing, dragged out court case, Leon was eventually convicted of six counts of aggravated indecent assault against Pippa Milthorpe.

He was acquitted of four charges of aggravated indecent assault in relation to Rose Milthorpe.

Five months later, in September that year, Leon was sentenced to three years nine months jail but released after two years and six months and returned back to the same town the girls continue to live in.

In September 2022, Rose became the youngest ever sexual abuse survivor in Australia to win court approval to tell her story under her own name.

Two months later, she and Pippa both waived their right to anonymity, speaking out exclusively as they fronted news.com.au’s Justice Shouldn’t Hurt campaign, demanding the expansion of a program designed to make court less traumatic for children involved in sexual abuse matters.

Helen Flanagan mum-shamed as she steps out in sexy black dress for night out with boyfriend’s daughter

HELEN Flanagan was cruelly mum-shamed as she glammed up for a night out with her boyfriend’s daughter.

The former Coronation Street actress, 34, oozed glam in a black bandeau mini-dress, with diamante bow detail on the chest and hip.

Helen cut a glam figure in a LBD yet one troll quipped ‘hope the kids are being looked after’[/caption]

Helen added extra glam with semi sheer tights and skyscraper heels.

The mum of three pulled her blonde locks into a high ponytail and added a slick of red lipstick to complete her look.

She was joined on a beige sofa by her boyfriend Robbie Talbot‘s daughter Sophia, who looked elegant in a red dress with poker-straight brunette locks.

In her happy caption accompanying two snaps of the pair sharing a giggle, Helen wrote: “Lovely night last night @kyma_crosby

“Thank you for the invite @propelpublicrelations.”

She then added a pink Emoji love heart and tagged Sophia’s page.

Yet the Rosie Webster soap star was promptly hit with a sick comment from a mum-shamer, who took to the comments section on her page.

They wrote: “Where’s the boyfriend? Hope the kids are being looked after!”

Yet Helen’s loyal fans were quick to fight her corner, with one sarcastically clapping back: “No she left them alone.

“Jesus mums not allowed a night out!”

A second raged: “What the F is wrong with you? Its none of your business where her kids are!!!”

A third then wrote: “Would you say the same thing to a father? Get a grip.”

The actress shares three children, Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie with her ex-fiancé and Bristol Rovers player Scott Sinclair.

Others were quick to gush over Helen’s look, with one posting: “Sexy sexy lady.”

What do we know about Helen Flanagan’s new boyfriend Robbie Talbot?

HELEN Flanagan has revealed that she is in a new relationship.

While appearing on Celebs Go Dating, she confessed that she was already taken – here’s everything we know about her boyfriend Robbie Talbot.

Helen has opened up about her relationship with former footballer Robbie Talbot.

He is a decade older than the actress.

Robbie was born in Liverpool on October 31, 1979 which is how he earned his nickname Halloween Hitman in football.

He has played for a series of non-league teams such as Burton Albion, Burscough and Morcambe.

He then became a coach at Ashton in 2010.

Robbie is retired from football.

He left his role as Assistant Manager at Ashton due to family and work commitments in 2011.

It’s unknown what he has done for work since leaving football.

Helen admitted that she was dating Robbie while appearing on Celebs Go Dating.

In a first for the show, it has been revealed that her relationship had to be written into the series due to requirements that those taking part have to be single.

The pair went public at her birthday party on August 10, 2024.

Another gushed: “Those tights and heels wow.”

A third then wrote: “Ouch yummy.”

Helen is no stranger to sexy attire and recently posed in a plunging red dress.

She then posed in a plunging pink dress for a “child free” night out.

Helen is clearly growing close to boyfriend Robbie’s family after she revealed him as her secret boyfriend in September.

We told how Helen’s boyfriend had been “written into” the series as a show first.

The Sun reported how initially, bosses had helped cover up her secret relationship with the ex-Morecambe and Burton Albion striker.

Back in October, we told how Helen had moved the sports star into her Lancashire home.
